  1. This is one that may have gotten too bloated. I love the Castle Center theme from Castlevania 64, I enjoy the Castle theme from SMW. I wanted to take the gothic horror style of Castlevania and collide it with the happy go lucky stylings of the mushroom kingdom, with a healthy dose of Glitch added in for taste. I mean circuits WOULD fry if two diametrically opposing games were to meet, right? So the glitchy aspects, I wanted to keep as random as possible, with out totally destroying the source material hoping it would blend the two sides in a blurry line in between the differing sources, like a xenograft transplantation. To be honest, it feels like a story line from an "imitation horror" story like "The Thing" or "It" its as if something is trying too hard to make you comfortable lulling you in with a pleasant seances of ease, yet harboring horrors beyond imagination.........I might be over thing this one. 2. Well, if you saw the Jazz moniker and still clicked on this, I commend you for your open-mindedness. So This Title is "Walking like a Star" Its the Starman Theme, slowly backing some jazzy Underground Theme. Submitted this way back (overridden), however it was really striped down back then. So TBH I think everything in the background sounds smooth, however the improv piano and some of the guitar parts perturb me, leading me to the conclusion that this might be best suited to a collaboration, perhaps with a more versed jazz musician? just a thought; what are your thoughts? https://soundcloud.com/daniel-lesuer/walking-like-a-star
  3. OH!? Wow you actually came here?!?!?......uh...... (ok, keep calm and type something witty and charming)..........I once ate a Snickers bar I found on the ground........

  4. So, there have been a couple variations of this mix/parody , each in a different direction, but all have coalesced together into a mix that....well......not sure. I wanted to combine Devo with 60's Surf, glitch, Mario, counting and Gloria Estefan........well maybe not that last one, whatever here's the mix. 5. Ok this was a last min remix made with the sole purpose of finally trying to mix vocals into my parody/remixes. Sadly I am with out vocal prowess(love that word) and needed someone who can freestyle over the track. Look at this track as built for the main attraction to be the person who is rapping with a little humor in the middle section so it's not too serious. The blips and chips are simply a reminder of the roots of the game. Seriously Im going to go back to this point, this is a vocal-centric( probably not gonna win me too many friends) and should be viewed in such a light. 6. Well This is a touched up version of what I submitted back aways. Was asked to resub, the drums needed some work, so added some variation to the drums. Fiddled with some stutter effects. It's jerky, it's a little out of tune, garbled, a little too loud, little to soft, thin where it should be fat and fat where it should be thin. Not much else to say. I can't really figure this one out....I guess if I had to venture a guess, Ill know what I was trying to accomplish if 1/2 of responses love it and the other 1/2 hate it, (if that makes any sense at all) I had been listening to a lot of Devo and was inspired by their take on Satisfaction and loved how they imparted a feeling of "we know how it "should" sound, but we're gonna do it our way" but nuff talk have at you! https://soundcloud.com/daniel-lesuer/its-a-series-of-tubes-rewired
  7. I know the name is weird, but I promise there's a point to it. The long made short is Prologue accidentally got smashed together with the theme from Lava Reef Zone, and while I was painstakingly disassembling the smash-up, some of the parts gelled, mixed in some of my own thoughts and voila! Im not sure what remains of Lava Reef so it's best i just give credit(TBH i think it's just one pad track, not much, but still....) still it's 70% prologue 25% Me 5% MIA (Presumed Sonic) I hope no one accuses me of blaspheming an immaculate Video Game Score, so if I have, I did it in the name of interpretation. The twitchyness of the some of the spots gave me a feeling of unsettaling electric-ness. The drums are ghost like wandering to and fro, not much else to say. ( Oh God I spelled Prologue wrong in the url....) Reason 7 is my DAW if that helps, so any help is greatly appreciated. https://soundcloud.com/daniel-lesuer/prolouge-to-a-burning-reef
  8. there's not much I can say here. The clock sound-effect, i was thinking of tweaking but not sure. The timing alteration are absolutely necessary, I need to preserve the feel of CT, not just the sound. Any tricks of the trade are welcome, though I'd rather just learn the trade . My DAW is Reason 7, so if that helps. I thank you for your time and advice. https://soundcloud.com/daniel-lesuer/601-a-d
