I suggested dropping part 2 for now as a way to make the project easier to manage and more possible to finish, not so you could put the entire BoF1 OST up for grabs. That's the opposite of what I was suggesting.

I like how for some reason all of your links have the little green tentacle icon I drew a few years ago. I also like how I thought the little green tentacle was a good idea for a total site icon. I should revisit that. Also my Wily entry will either be totally epic or a complete disaster.

I agree with Zircon. I could also play through FFX as it is now on the PS2, it is really an incredible game... I'm super excited for the PS3 version and I think or hope it can stand on its own too, and maybe people will realize how great it is when they play it in HD and really give it a chance. And yes I hope they keep the voice acting. The voice acting was superb in the game. A lot of people cite the "forced laughing" scene as an example of bad voice acting. Well it was a forced laughing scene, it was supposed to be awkward. That's the whole point of forced laughing. I remember playing the game back in 2001, and that was a very powerful scene.. all the subtleties in the voice acting and performance made that game the last great final fantasy in my mind. There was only 1 line of voice in the game I wasn't too fond of because it wasn't recorded properly.

There was probably a deaf guy who saw every OC ReMix video as it was posted, saw that each one was exactly the same thing, and flagged them all. I know that sounds silly but anything is possible. Also Youtube is only like 30% to blame, this was people who reported OCR's vids... Youtube is partially to blame because they don't actually look into any claims, and they do let improper copyright claims go through constantly, as mentioned earlier.

Squeenix rummaging through the old Squaresoft library is good if they don't screw it up. I have very high hopes for this remake, they said it'd be in FF13's engine and that engine was purty cool I guess. I was just surprised they done said nuttin' bout it for 2 months. >

Has there seriously not been an update on this in 2 months? It may be because I am severely impatient but this makes it sound like the project was abandoned! Especially with 2011 being over, like, pretty soon. A 10th anniversary release makes no sense on the 11th anniversary. And if they DO miss the deadline I hope they promote it as "THE 11TH ANNIVERSARY"

It's a week long round but it's not the only thing people have going on in their lives... most of the entrants probably make their song in a day or two under a lot of pressure. Enjoy the music and cut them some slack.

Chrono Trigger was a rare case and one instance where you can grow an emotional attachment to a character despite him not even speaking in TEXT. I don't think Nintendo has ever or will ever be able to create that kind of character. Especially without a voice.
