There's not a deadline because I am just going to write the parts / lyrics, and send them out, and then get reference mp3s from the singers and eventually their final 16-bit wav raw track of vocals. Update 10/26: I think I've found all of the sources we need. The song will probably end up being 7 minutes long *sigh*. I think I used to get a fuller tone using 2 mics on the half-stack, but using 1 mic by itself is a definite improvement to the clarity of the tone. Good stuff.

Sure, I'll give this a go again this year. The stuffed cactuar was the highlight of my year up until now, it's sitting on a perch above my screen where I see it everyday.

I saw them once in Ohio. Fantastic show. I agree by the way! Dead thread more or less dead, but I'm still up to the numerous challenges listed within here. The main problem right now is that I've gotten on the inverted sleeping schedule again which is hella hard to reverse (so there's people home when I'm up and can't record). The other thing is that I've really slacked out in my practice hard. I tried to record some earlier, and I hit some notes that felt like they were lower pitched growls than I've ever done yet, but I lost control pretty quick due to lack of practice. This thread is a tool I would still like to use. I encourage anyone out there working with this to do that as well. I've got to get back to & surpass "monkeys disarm their kremlings" as far as my growls go. It's what I do. My midi keyboard got borked, but I may try to switch up the parts by hand by sliding existing notes around... that might work.... for the drums and mellotrons anyway in the second verse.

I'm sorry, I forgot about the people I met in real life for the most part.. If I would have casted them badly, they'd hurt me. Plus I wouldn't want to offend anyone by making a ridiculous racial comparison with an asian actor, also I'm really not that familiar with asian actors. I would cast Gario as Jim Carrey though. HAH.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish here? I liked the synth pad but the other instruments were pretty vanilla MIDI type sounds. It doesn't match the feel of the original or expand / improve on it, so I dunno.

I support the whitelist too. I know who did this, or at least I know who I'm going to blame for doing this, but this is what remains of my house which wasn't even remotely near spawn. But yeah, I probably won't be on again until the whitelist / update is in place. I had barely been playing at all as it is but this is just ridiculous.

I actually agree here, one tiny island -- it could actually be man-made. Maybe have one giant tower on this tiny island that we spawn on, and we can jump off into the ocean without taking damage...

Oh, so that's why every other time I try to get on minecraft.net, it doesn't work. x_x What rubbish. I have barely even played in the last week though, so somethin new would be nice to play with. I'd like to be on that whitelist. I want to build a house in what they call "hell" on the halloween update. Hopefully they haven't fixed taking damage.
