Haha, yeah. I'm Lv.29 now and still using a Lv.10 saber I found. Why? It has a TP boosting augment(getting 100 TP per normal attack) and Attack Up VI on it(upgraded from III). No other saber until the Lv.30 sets has been able to compare. Having fun with my skell, even without flying. I don't use it for combat too much though, because I can usually pull off more combo damage than it can put out right now. That will probably change when I get a Lv.30 skell. Kind of hoping there are electric element photon sabers, too. Most of my skills push me towards beam element and I have a couple that boost ether, but I wouldn't mind taking some of the Partisan Eagle/Astral Crusader electric skills and applying them to photon sabers. Bonus to electric damage, chance to inflict Shock on hit, and +200% electric damage to shocked enemies? Yes please!

Yep, the lake robot got me as well. Funny, because the lake mutant in Fallout 4 also got me. I think lake anythings are out to get me. Currently wearing a set similar to Elma's armor(but purple) as fashion gear, but with asymmetrical shoulders and combat pants. What classes are you all running, anyways? I started as an Enforcer and just mastered Galactic Knight, now I'm leveling up the Commando line. I'll probably be using dual guns and a photon saber(melee focused). I sort of want to try out the javelin though. I'm also interested in the shield, but it acts as a melee weapon. Kind of sad you can't opt for two melee type weapons or two ranged weapons.

Yep. I was going through Chapter 6 and I walked right into a disguised Lv.40ish or so Tyrant right outside a certain cave, positioned so that if you didn't see it and turn early it would get the jump on you.. I should have seen it coming because I ran into tons of them in lower Noct. Freaked me the hell out. I have learned though, and now I know exactly which "rocks", "plants" and "branches" are actually trying to kill me. I knew about the aerial cam, I don't use it that often though. When I see some out of reach treasure I usually do some old fashioned sleuthing until I find a route upwards. Or I see if I can use my Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim skills to jump up a mountain or three. It's actually really fun trying to find alternate ways up and around terrain and I swear there are some routes you can take via jumping that seem intentional. I'm going for my Skell License now, though, but I hear I won't actually be able to fly until a lot later in the game.

I've been addicted to Xenoblade Chronicles X since it came out. I just got to Chapter 5 myself yesterday, but I'm in no rush. Having a blast exploring the massive world, even if I have to do some monster avoiding. Really keeps you on your toes, not segregating everything by level. Not to mention how most hostile enemies are visible, but some are disguised as terrain and can ambush you if you aren't familiar with them. But how about that music? I dislike some of it(particularly some of the NLA music), but then there's some golden pieces like Noctilum's day theme: Seriously though, this is one kickass game.

I use a Kindle Fire HD for most of my reading(and a few of my app needs - hence being a Fire and not a Paperwhite). I think you'll be hard-pressed to find a reader with all of those, but I'd second Jorito's Kindle Paperwhite suggestion. I believe you can open PDFs on it via sideloading, but it will keep the original file's formatting and not run in the Paperwhite's page-by-page setup. If you absolutely need to read other file formats and can live without the paper display, you should probably favor function over form and go for the Fire.

I had an Aladdin tune in the works, but between the two I opted for my Big Blue arrangement. I also opted for the shortened version of it because I wasn't satisfied enough with the second half, but eh.

That's sounding pretty awesome. It helps that that was probably my favorite song from the soundtrack. Ha, thanks. This is an early WIP concept I've been messing with, but I'm not sure how far I'll take it. Not that it's missing a lot of the percussion(having trouble making it work) and isn't nearly as fleshed out as I'd like, or as "full" yet. https://soundcloud.com/katallen-12/spear-of-justice-wip/s-TdhSh

At first I was like, "Seems overhyped and doesn't look that good". Then I actually played it and holy crap. I've also purchased it for a few friends as early gifts because I now believe everyone needs some Undertale in their life. I'd love to arrange some of the songs because the soundtrack is pure distilled awesome, but my skills are not up to par yet.

A SSD has no moving parts and therefore will not be subject to a mechanical failure. I've never actually had a HDD fail on me though, so that's just a peace of mind thing. That aside, it generally uses less power and is practically silent compared to a HDD. It also generates less heat, but that's not a huge deal. But yeah, as far as a music production machine goes the main benefit of a SSD would be as a sample drive, thanks to reduced load times. If you can afford it, I'd definitely suggest going for a good size SSD over a HDD.

I didn't expect a second place with my entry, too many issues I couldn't get around to fixing. It was really nice to see so many entries this time around, though. Hopefully the trend continues.

I have 16GB of RAM and I do fine, but I'd feel a bit cramped with only 8GB of RAM. I frequently use samples like Embertone's Friedlander Violin(which is 1.25GB on it's own) and often have to pair them with lighter samples(Kontakt or COC's orchestral samples) to stay within bounds. If you're going to be using loads of samples I'd suggest at least that along with an i5 processor and a reasonable fast HDD. I have a smaller SSD that holds most of my samples. If you plan on using a lot of samples it might be worth looking at simply for the speed, but it's not really necessary.

I should have an update for mine to fix some terrible mixing/mastering/tracking issues I thought I had no time to fix. Hurray! Hopefully I'll get it in on time, but we'll see.
-
I probably should have touched up mine a good deal more, but I ran out of personal time so it'll have to do. Like Xsquader said, I probably wouldn't have gotten around to submitting it if I held off.

Hoping to have something for this, as long as work doesn't screw me over again. Holidays tend to make doing things not related to work difficult.
-
I may or may not have something by then. Been exceptionally busy with life and a couple other musical projects, so we'll see.

One piano sample, but with the left hand chords there was a little bit of double tracking going on to give it a slightly fuller soundscape. I used less reverb on that part, which is probably why it sounds a good deal different. I didn't notice any clipping - I'll have to go back and listen to it again.
-
Thanks! I've uploaded a newer version with some changes made - A few areas felt barren and there was a bit of realism missing. I'm not entirely versed in piano(not to the extent of writing solo arrangements, at least) so this was a learning experience for me.

https://soundcloud.com/katallen-12/pokemon-a-new-dawn Something I've been working on, and I finally have a WIP arrangement to show. I think I still have a few changes I'd like to make(and some improvements in general) before I call it finished. It incorporates a lot of themes from the Pokemon route themes along with some original parts(and a few other tidbits). Hope it's enjoyable!

Starts about :35 second in. Sometimes you just need a good ballad, and she's an amazing vocalist. It's a real shame only her first album(while still amazing) is available via MP3. All her other CDs are import-only and generally around $50 or out of stock.

And on the box art. All three of the box arts. Also the website. (And the website header) And the Origin application name. But I assumed he meant it's not an actual Star Wars game and is just using the brand for sales. DICE did a great job making it look and sound like Star Wars at the very least.

I've had some fun today, but I'd still agree it isn't worth the $60. In Hoth I usually see the same people getting the AT's and getting a lot of kills because they know exactly where the power up spawns and rush it. I once got it and it was super easy to kill anything, what with having an orbital strike with a 30 second cooldown and a variety of weapons that kill nearly instantly. Once the Empire gets AT's, turrets and anything up in the air the Rebel side is pretty much SOL.

Siren for PS2. Classic horror at it's best and rather under-appreciated. I really should play I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream. That was an awesome(if unnerving) book.

Well, day 2 of Beta and I don't feel all that differently about it. I'm seeing a ton of "Fairfight Banned" messages, so I'm assuming there's a lot of cheating/hacking going on that's being taken care of. I had a guy(on my team) who had 60 kills and only 2 deaths. Considering I can't often walk from spawn without dying in some way I find that a little absurd. I still find myself being shot to death, only for the kill cam to show my killer as a tiny red outline on the other side of the map. I can't seem to grasp how you can accurately kill someone from that range with a shorter range blaster rifle, yet these people aren't being banned so I can only assume this is how the game is intended to be played. I occasionally manage to pull this off as well. If this is how it's supposed to be I'll probably pass. Additionally, you start off Multiplayer with nothing but the basic rifle. Meanwhile, the other players are jump-packing around(that's one of the last and most expensive items you can get) or using personal shields(also one of the later unlocks, but cheap) to laugh at you and escape. I finally hit Rank 5(the max for the Beta) and unlocked the last blaster. It's described as having an excellent rate of fire and doing a ton of damage over range. I haven't used anything else since(and it seems most people who have it unlocked are doing the same) because why would I? It have an amazing rate of fire, amazing range and amazing damage and that translates perfectly to close range fights as well. And moving/jumping/etc doesn't effect your accuracy or spread at all, which only makes it the more obvious choice. It looks like star wars, and it feels like it on occasion. When the music does kick in it's ok, although it relies on well known John Williams scores for most of the music. Heroes are powerful and kill any non-hero in a single hit. They can also have epic fights with other heroes(though those seem to degrade to the usual "circle around the opponent while swinging" strategy). I saw a Tie-fighter suicide crash into a Darth Vader to take him out. I guess that was pretty entertaining. In the end though, it just feels like another FPS with Star Wars tacked onto it. Still giving the rest of the beta a shot but I'm not particularly hopeful at this point. The previous Battlefront games were populated by a ton of NPCs alongside the players. You had various classes, from snipers and heavy weapon users to engineers that could repair(or sabotage) vehicles. You were only sniping people with sniper rifles because using other weapons to snipe was generally a bad idea. A lot of the gameplay revolved around helping the NPCs with objectives to get a win. Vehicles were already on the field, and the ability to play as a Hero was somewhat randomly offered to any player rather than placed as a powerup on the map. This game likely changed all of that to focus on being a Star Wars themed Battlefield.
