Overheating is probably what caused it to screw up in the first place, but no POST is generally a very bad sign.

Or he could join the ever growing Wardriver Collective! GO GO PRO BONO! IRREGARDLESS, this shit is hot, yo. I'm usually not one for the technos, but I actually enjoyed a lot of this. Mostly because it's actually original, unlike the canned regurgitated shit you hear in clubs these days. Nice work, and make more albums plz. Speaking of albums plz, where the balls did Ubik go...

Sounds like either your processor or motherboard are damaged. If there's no beeps at POST, then chances are it's the motherboard. Other possibilities include a bad video card or bad power supply, but if it's the video card the computer should still beep once at POST. It's difficult to tell with these things, but there's a good chance something died.

perhaps a link to the song in question is in order.

Random Forum Stats: * Currently, only 63 OGs are left on the forums. (members who have been registered for 5+ years and have made at least one post in the last 90 days) * The average age of active OCR forum members is around 23. (based on a random selection of people who have made an average of 1 post per day for the last 90 days) * 19 people currently have a post count higher than 10,000. Radical Dreamer currently holds the record with over 28,000 posts. Random Chat Stats: * The highest recorded number of people in #ocremix was 125 on April 23, 2007. (however, this was the result of an ETG server crash, the actual number is unknown but is estimated to be around 115 set sometime in 2004) * Suzumebachi is the most talkative person in #ocremix since its inception, having consistently topped the stats since March 2002. -
Thx for the feedback richter. I updated Left Handed Crayons, and added a new song to the site (along with a couple of older ones, but they sux anyways so nobody needs to worry about them). http://wardriver.thasauce.net/beatenbishop/

Oh the irony. Spelling and grammar errors aside, it's an interesting idea... wait, nope. The spelling and grammar errors ruin it for me. That ad is horrible. Painful, almost. They're not doing "gamers" any favors here. It's pretty embarassing, really.

So I'm working on an album for my sideproject, Beaten Bishop (a spinoff of DP), and I'd like to get some feedback on some of the tracks if possible. I'll try to keep this first post updated with additions and changes and stuff. Here are the tracks: Left Handed Crayons (updated) While You're Attic (new) Treedom Scented Soap (there's a longer, non vocal version here) Thanks much in advance!

*agrees with everything Mustin just said* Not just in hip hop, but generally: do not use stock drum loops man. It's such a cop-out, and in the long run you only hurt yourself. Get all the experience you can with sequencing, or even beat slicing if you wanna go that route (though I still suggest you get lots of practice sequencing-- if you can sequence your own phat beats and THEN slice them, all the better). Similarly, if you plan to use lots of synths, I suggest you read up on some basic synth theory and learn to make your own patches rather than rely solely on presets. Presets are a good starting place to learn and see how stuff works, but don't use them as a crutch. Additionally, nothing will help you more as a musician than learning an instrument. I second piano, as it's extremely useful for songwriting, however you can go with guitar, or drums, or anything really. Just having that basic knowledge that comes with instrumentalism goes a long ways, man.

lol dude, nearly half the tracks on that project were by me under various names. you can edit the profile and add pictures, but that's it. you have no control over what gets credited to you and what doesn't.

the username suzumebachi was also taken. by some narutard, no less. but i was able to register suzumebachi85 and at least write a profile for my music page. in order to do that though, i believe you need the proprietary software crud (the audioscrobbler). i like the stats on the site, though. like for example, currently my #1 listener is a 20 year old girl from the netherlands (and i'm currently the #1 thing she listens to). what's even more impressive is the musicbrainz stuff listed at the bottom. somehow that thing scoured the internet and came to the conclusion that i am ty guenley, and i was a member of disciplining percy and children of the washing machine. all of this is true, though how it figured that out is beyond me, especially considering both those "bands" were supposed to be secret!

I know this is a stupid question, but...

Instead of fading out the master volume, there's a better, easier way to do it that will be much smoother (since 100% on the master volume is actually like 82.5% on in the event editor or something). Basically, just add a Fruity Mute 2 effect to your master channel, set it to off, and set the insert percentage to 0%. Then when you want to fade out, just automate the insert knob to increase to 100%. That way, no more fucking with actual volumes and stuff, so should you have to change the volumes later when mixing or smth it doesn't fuck up your automation. -
this was happening to me for a while, so I went back to firefox 1.5.0.7, and I haven't had any issues since. it seems to be a problem with 2.0.0.2, so maybe there'll be a fix in the not too distant future.

you sure it's .jei? that extension apparently does not exist in any extension database. also, i'm still leaning towards virus. how did you even get two files? there's only one file on the server you downloaded it from. and it's not an archive, so the other file had to come from something on your computer locally.
