Great hard rock battle theme. I especially appreciate how the synthesized sounds didn’t try to do too much all at once. The focus was mainly on the guitars, as it should be. It almost felt like something straight out of the Black Mages catalog.

This track is eerie, dark, kind of mysterious, and ambient. Like you’re going into a night club with the “wrong crowd” and you still wind up having a great time. Maybe you’re hooking up with a sexy dancer while you’re clubbing. This is the kind of vibe that I get from this track.

This is a great medley. And it’s a medley that actually has smooth and seamless transitions between the multiple source materials, and it sticks to one genre. The chiptunes blended with the synth instruments make great music to have in the background of an ideal electronic interpretation of a tropical paradise.
-
This arrangement makes the “sad song” seem more like a “vengeful song.” It’s definitely an elaborate interpretation of Mallow’s sadness, and in such an amazing way. A very risky arrangement that pays off fairly well. I’m almost reminded of Fantasia when I hear this track.

Very enjoyable track. It’s fun, energetic, and in some ways, motivational. I’m glad this is called “playing in the park” because there is that sense of innocence that I get from listening to this track. Just having a carefree time at the park with your friends. Lots of fun, just like this track.

I too was expecting something a little more intense for a Smash Bros remix on a fighting remix album. It’s a decent surprise, and still worth a listen. Seems more like lobby room music than fighting music, but I’m cool with that. Nothing wrong with a more relaxing arrangement of a Smash Bros remix.
-
If I were a fighter, this would definitely be the kind of music I would want to represent my skills. This is a very intense music track, and does an excellent job making anyone associated with it (like Decapre) seem like the most powerful warrior in the universe.

The brass, piano, and the percussion in this track is amazing. A perfect balance of electronic music and orchestrated music. I could see myself racing through space at the speed of light to something like this.
-
Great synth work blended with chiptunes. The vibe presented in this track doesn’t feel generic at all. Parts of the remix are atmospheric, and parts of this remix are fun jams to dance to. An overall fun experience.

This track is extraordinarily fun and silly, just like ToeJam and Earl. And I’m going to have to third the “wanna hear a live version of this” comment, because this track would totally provide an unforgettable experience to a live crowd. Flawless track.

This track will relax you, then it will pump you up when you least expect it, and then it will relax you again. And in the case of this track, that’s not a bad thing. The brass solo during the first minute of the track seemed a little soft and lacking in energy. Very fun track with a nice balance of relaxation and excitement.
-
For a medley, this track felt a little inconsistent to me. Too many genre’s in one track for my tastes. I feel like once I was invested in one section, another section would be drastically introduced, forcing me to reacquaint myself with the track. 1:56 to 2:43 was wonderful though.

The bass in this track is outstanding. One of the best, and most creative uses of bass I’ve heard from this website. Even if you don’t care for Dr. Mario (or video game music in general), this track does a great job standing on its own. And capping off this great remix is the brass and guitar solos at the end.
-
The opening chord hooked me to this track right away. This remix does Rainbow Road 64 justice in more ways than one. The original solos inserted into this track is outstanding, and the transitions between original and source material is smooth and seamless. And what a standard to set for this being Overclocked’s first Rainbow Road 64 remix.

Very relaxing track. You could close your eyes, and see yourself gliding above beautiful scenery under a starry sky. I wasn’t a fan of the voice samples thrown in there as they seemed somewhat distracting. But the voice samples do not take away from how nice and soothing this track is.
-
This entire track feels like an introduction of a track. It’s a great, haunting, and relaxing guitar piece, but it’s way too short to really invest in.
-
Freaky intro leading into an awesome rock/electronic arrangement of Half-Life music. Everything about this remix reminds me of an early 90s MS-DOS action adventure game. Whether that’s intentional or not, it’s nothing short of amazing.
-
This is a bizarre medley. Like you did three separate tracks, and released it as one with virtually no transition between the three tracks. I almost want to put this in Audacity, and separate the Front Line Base portion of this remix because that part of the whole remix was amazing. The other two parts of the remix didn’t really do anything for me.
-
Misleading title, but it doesn’t matter as this track is an excellent rock track. It’s simple, straightforward rock and roll, and the production is more realistic and smooth compared to the Blaster Master tracks.
-
I actually kind of liked the panning bass. Made for an interesting introduction to the track. The rest of the guitar work in this track is pretty good. Like Rocket, the quality seems pretty low, and the track seems like it ends too soon.
-
I’m not used to such low-quality audio from a remix on this site. But I suppose if you picture it as listening to an old school rock track from the 70s on the radio while driving down the road, it’s not so bad. Very short track, almost too short for me to really recommend. The introduction is wonderful though.

And here’s number three in the list of remixes I listened to in my introductory year. This is a very drastic arrangement of the second Ice Cap theme. It’s kind of hard to hear the original melody over all the beats and samples used. The balancing is very uneven, as all I can really hear is the repetitive synth notes being played rapidly in succession throughout.
-
This is the second track I’ve reviewed that I remember listening to the first year I was introduced to Overclocked. I like the use of the string ensemble, and I remember that being one of the reasons I liked this track back in the day. Not a fan of the percussion samples, but the string ensemble work alone makes this remix worthy of a download.

A remix of a remix of an original. That’s kind of interesting. I almost prefer the first version, Dark Puppetry over this one. Feels like you took out some of the original synth work done. And the ending still seems abrupt to me. A little too safe of a remix (that's actually a remix of a remix) for my tastes.

I second everything Coaltergeist said. I do want to add that the cross-pan solo mentioned in the profile was pretty good. I’d still call this a fun track, but some of the levels seem a little uneven for me to fully appreciate this track.
