Okay then, I'm going to attempt to make a write up for the project summary.
-
I haven't received new pictures in a few days, or Kee's interview. Should I continue to hold out? The list of those I haven't gotten yet still stands. Rellik is missing, mv's taking a break from remixing, Reuben's in the darn army, and no Cox yet...but other than that, I've got everything but some pics. I can go ahead with this whenever we want it released.
-
Since its inception, I have received a total of 30 hits from the CS site.
Yeah, I got my stats back.
-
Got em up, so just waiting on Reuben, mv, and Rellik. Mv probably won't be able to make it in time. I'm not sure where Rellik is...
-
Yeah, if you've got one send it in. Every remixer optimally should have a pic but for the ones I haven't gotten one from yet, I've been using pixietricks's as a default.
-
Thanks, I'll get your page up in 2 hours. Have to go work...
In other news, my playthrough of Chrono Cross to edit its script is also allowing me to make a neat little savestate pack of all the endings. I'll announce that somewhere when it's done.
-
Okay, everyone's done on the Compendium so far (except in pictures; I sent out requests to those done) for these people:
Claado Shou
BliZiHizake
Red Omen
PLBenjaminZ
sephfire
pixietricks
ellywu2
Emperor
DarkeSword
FM
So yeah, some remixers will have Darkesword or pixietricks as their default pic til I get word. If they don't have a pic, good old Chrono Symphonic Art will be used.
-
Haha, as Claado said, "they look a little like pixietricks...I don't know, maybe it's just the dress." I've been using yours as a default since I got it first.
-
Preview time! This is how the interviews will look. I did pixietricks's first because her picture was on hand:
http://www.chronocompendium.com/Stories/21/7
And the very first page will be a project summary and sort of timeline maybe.
Edit: Man, my site...is beautiful. I think I'm going to cry...
-
Ah, alright. I'm almost done centralizing all the art in the Symphonic folder on herograw. I'll make an edit...
-
Well, I tried sending to your listed e-mail, but I'll PM then.
-
K, these guys have responded to the interviews thus far:
Claado Shou
BliziHizake
pixietricks
Red Omen
PLBenjaminZ
sephfire
DarkeSword
Emperor
Ellywu2
Awaiting (no big rush):
SirRus
Kanjika
FM (I think...for some reason I feel like I've read his)
mv
Rellik
Reuben Kee
mv's on leave, so I might not get a response from him. Also
attention loalz
Like an idiot, I forgot to ask something crucial in each of the e-mails. The question is, would you like a picture of you displayed on your interview page in the feature? If so, let me know and I'll get with you. The picture will look like this probably, aligned right and starting it off:
-
Yar, thanks. Someone posted the Compendium at that forum awhile ago by word of mouth, and I've been getting a steady stream of hits from it. haven't been able to track down where exactly.
-
Okay, answers are coming in nicely and I'll make a checklist soon. We can set up a portion of the site for the look back, and this stuff's going on the Compendium as a major, singular feature anyway. Each interview will take up a story page, and they'll all be accessible from the main table of contents.
What I need, however...
I've successfully built the center of the Chrono community outside Gamefaqs. However, Chrono Symphonic is huge and I would rather not be limited to posting this feature and news at the few small boards left out there. I need links and suggestions for other forums or sites I can submit it to for plugging/display; anything general gaming or RPG where Chrono fans should hang out would be fine, like a Tales of Symphonia forum or something. Here's what I have so far:

Square forums or RPG stuff is encouraged. If you visit a community you think would accept it, post it up.

I've just sent out the round of interview questions for the Chrono Symphonic extravaganza. sephfire's already answered, so this is kicking off with a big bang! If you're on the project and you didn't receive something, let me know, because I tried to use e-mails over PMing.
-
PS: I must also say that it's refreshing to hear a classical vocalist who does not make the mistake (or 'stylistic decision', as some say) of applying a ridiculous amount of vibrato to each and every note to achieve a 'large' tone by superficial means.
Hehehee... Yeah, I really don't like that kind of voice. Vibrato should carry the pitch and spin it out into the space you're singing in, not *distort* the pitch. Some people have such wide vibrato that you aren't even sure what note they're singing. But I don't mind meatier voices, as long as they are even and clear. I'm a coloratura, so my voice happens to be somewhat lighter.
Just noting my approval of this well. I feel a little more respect for singers when I hear a loud, long note busted out smooth and nice.

In amazing coincidence, Claado just contacted me on AIM. A lot of crap has been going on, but he's going to try and make an effort to be present tomorrow and throughout next week. I'm still offering my services if further leave is required.
-
Yeah, I'm getting concerned. I haven't seen Claado on AIM lately. As an absolute last resort, I can commandeer the project, but I'm still unsure of my ability to solicit remixers.
Funny that I've known Eon_Blue on the net since 1998, though we didn't know it from 1999 to 2005. Ah, back on those ITW boards...
-
Coming here to pay homage. This remix rules.

Well, I've got an idea for a companion guide for the project, in which each participating remixer is interviewed or something.
-
I suppose just when stuff solidifies. A couple remixers have had to drop, and there are some tracks that need to be picked up. When progress is solid, out we go.
By the way, random gift: The CT PSX version's Extra menu music, composed by Mitsuda: http://cc.herograw.com/Black/Music%20(Chrono%20Trigger)/Chrono%20Trigger%20Extra%20Tracks/

Just in case angelfire craps out, I've made a WIP folder on Chrono Symphonic's herograw webspace, and it should finish uploading one minute after this post:
http://symphonic.herograw.com/WIPs/
Claado, if you want me to dump all the old WIPs in there as well, let me know, since I saved everything from servehttp (including Auditions and WIPs).

I have to go live with the Extravaganza Wednesday or earlier, so I'm going to release it tomorrow.
That is, unless you want it Mid-July, which you don't. So I'll let you know.
