Its a good original. Thought I have not played FF9, I like the song. As for the remix. I really like how it starts with the square lead, but the beat is very annoying. At 1:00 everything falls apart. The background screens follow the lead, and since they have streachy release, it sounds more like 40 notes playing at once creating this muffled, out of key.... mess. It follows the whole song like that.. NO

Heh, I cant rate this properly with such a horrible rendition. Try 112 kbps minimum for mp3 stereo 44khz songs plz. Personally, I hate the vocals. Creative, but thats no justification. Secondly, this is very cookie cutter - the usual dance beat, however I do like how the melody was attacked. There are off key sections towards the end. Interesting concept, but wholely unsuccessful. Knowing this (and every other dkc) song by heart, I can conclude that this is another note-for note rendition. Sure there are a few additions (and subtractions) but basically its the original with new instruments. The original sounds better. NO Oh, and there are out of tune instruments (vocals)

Very repetitive, lead instrument could be better. I would watch the release (that is the thing that controls how quickly a note fades once it is ended (released)). I would recommend the author work on expantion of a melody rather than just adding more and more background distortion NO

I would give this a NO on the bitrate alone. But other than that, the beat sounds off. I think it could use some quantization. Furthermore, this is almost exactly the same as the original. Lastly, the unchanging frequency cut lead and repetitive beat alone would force me to say NO

NO nice, but very simple. Piano pieces must go beyond such simplicity. This song generally just follows the melody of that cool original. Also there are sound/velocity problems.

Sorry man, more is required than a simple disco beat with random melodies over it. I like the original songs too, that was kinda disappointing. This might have even been good if the beat was changed up a bit more and that drumloop wasnt ever present. Also, the minimalisticness is kinda eck. Very repetitve Good sound though. NO

I am so certain that we reviewed this before. Perhaps not, but I think we did In any rate, I made my decision on this song long ago and it hasnt changed with this hearing. I dont like the melody at all. There are parts where the melody just dont fit. I dont like how it was done. I dont like the effects. I like the concept. Very interesting interpretation of very good songs. That beat is way quiet Its better now.. but beat should be louder ack, hella reverb gettin repetitive... That reverb is a little too much at time Hmm, somehow I remember this being better. Im kinda borderline. Im gonna go with NO cause Its just too repetitive and doesnt do much with the great song. Somehow the melody reminded me of the Ending theme to Zelda 4. Hmm, oh well. A very well put together song. Not too simple, not too boring or repetitive. Very impressive. Sounds like it Pro(s): Nice feel, but not really. Ugh(s): Beat sounds far away from the guitar, like another song thats playing in the background. Song is way too repetitive and short. It doesnt really stray from the original at all, it just goes over the melody with strange guitars and a simplistic beat. I liked how it sounded, but the truth is, it REALLY did sound like a hurried song. Please attempt more varaiety in the future kthx NO

When I saw the title, I was quite worried that it would be another midi rip with off notes and general disarrangement of the original... ehem... uh, never mind. Ugh(s): The intro is nice, but should be 5 seconds long, not 30 seconds. The beat never really developed, It just continued with those sine hits. Song repeats D: This is the kinda song that REALLY REALLY REALLY needs a rockin beat to make it MOVE. If it had a better beat, it would actually be much better. I never thought I would say that, oh well. I really like the ideas presented here, but because the beat never developed (and stayed with those simple sine hits and hat taps) The whole song feels like one big intro. I dont remember this at all. I'll check the Birdo Mini-boss theme when I get home. Pros: ... Cons: I dont really like the part that starts at 0:01 and goes until, um.... 4:43. That part hits me the wrong way. No seriously, this is too simple, repetitive. It holds no musical aspect of the originals. It feels like someone's second attempt at FL. Skills take time to develop, remember that. Although, I commend kyle for surpassing the 2:20 limit that seems to have possesion of all recent submissions. NO

Pros Nice arranging abilities. I actually like that bass, It sounds like synth, but it could be a tuba. I dont know. Pros: I guess the sines sound good, but in an ambient-sense. I dont think it does the original justice. Cons: Awe hell, when did I get over 500 posts? Now I feel dirty. HOLY SHORT! What is with all the 2 minute songs? Really not impressed by the minimalistic nature of the song. So much can be done with a great song like this. Now I feel bad for rejecting 2 beej songs. Pros: Nice orchistra arrangement. I really havent heard this kind of arrangement on this site before. (Im sure another exists, but I haven't heard it) Cons: Ending is rather abrupt and unresolved, as Dan and Cotmm said, even though Dan is a stuck-up Cuban Fag. I have a problem with the high note at exactly 1:54 , but oh well, thats probably how the original went. Too damn short. I like it, very nicely done. Lets work on those endings a bit, though. 2 minutes is ridiculously short. Its a sign of lazyness to me. ANY song can be longer than 2 minutes. YES

Pros: Good sound. Good use of instruments. Cons: Nothing really special. Just follows the melody with orchistra instead of saws and squares. I wasnt too impressed by this mix because I dont feel anything was really done to it. It feels like the original with different samples. I can tell a mix isnt really my thing when I go back and listen to the original and realize I would rather hear the original. Still, there were a few creative elements to this song and a reasonable bitrate was presented, FOR ONCE, the melody had a clear and open feel. So, YES
