  1. Accepting these propositions while insanely busy with life is what got me into this mess in the first place.
  2. Is it just me who screwed the project up, or were there some other delinquent muthughfuckughs who contributed?
  3. I still prefer MIDI to USB, I always seem to get tiny bits of lag when using USB.
  4. Well, for what you want to do, upgrading soundcards is a must. You'll need some consultation on the matter, to see exactly what you need and all that stuff. On the FL+large library matter, I think it should support any sized library just fine. All that it needs is to support VST, once the plugin is loaded, it should take over the job of loading and managing samples.
  5. If you want a non-compromising piano library, then you need to get Synthology's Ivory Grand Piano, it's about 10gb in size and absolutely authentic. If you don't have the 10gb of space to dedicate to one library, get Steinberg's The Grand 2, it's the one I use and it sounds fantastic. EDIT - No, sorry, Ivory is closer to about 30 or 40gb. 10DVDs...
  6. Having perfect pitch doesn't mean that you can spot when someone plays a wrong note during their rendition of Aeris' theme, it means that if I fart in front of you, you can tell me exactly which note that was.
  7. haha, this Yngwie bullshit is STILL going on? I guess I'll start contributing to this idiocy... His guitar playing doesn't suck. He's a good player, his problem is that he can't write good music. Now if you wanna talk about a good player, Jason Becker is where it's at!
  8. I don't see how it's easier. You can program it the same way in Cubase, and that's it. Program it once and then it's a preset you can use with a keyboard shortcut.
  9. Do Sonar 7 or FL have anything like Cubase's Logical Editor? You can program "functions" for MIDI use within the program, you can mess with ANY aspect of the MIDI notes, velocity, length, quantization, pitch, etc. I use it to program random velocity functions and other awesome stuff (nothing beats clicking on the entire midi track, choosing the random velocity function in whatever range I want, let's say... 64-110, and BOOM, nice velocities, all random!^____^) I have a few extra machines here, and I want to turn one of them into a portable DAW, not sure if I should install Cubase again or try Sonar.
  10. Simmer down, Häggström, don't get in over your head. I wouldn't trust Fishy as far as I can throw his mom... ...and have you seen his mom!?
  11. My main axe, Carvin DC127. I am never without her, I take her on flights, on vacation, to work. <3 Also, being inspired by software seems pretty shitty to me. You gotta have some kind of connection to your music, clicking a mouse on the keyboard graphic under your synth properties window doesn't do shit for me.
  12. Just sticking good components in a box does not make good monitors. They have to be tuned by professionals, in special rooms using special tools, all of which I severely doubt you have access to. I can guarantee that you will NOT get any kind of accuracy with home made monitors.
  13. I think I have some extra mopads kicking around, if I can find em, I'll let you have em. Just give me till tomorrow to check. (don't get your hopes up, though)
  14. Make sure you isolate them somehow, otherwise you'll be getting inaccurate bass response because of vibrations through your desk/floor/penis.
  15. I use em, they're good. I don't expect to be using them a year from now, as I'm planning to upgrade to the Mackies, but I do recommend the Rokit 5's. (get the 6's if you can afford em, though)
  16. I mixed all my songs for Project Chaos on 7506's. Good headphones.
  17. $300+ for me. The $150 can feel like toys very easily. Someone recommended the Edirol PCR800 to me. Totally worth the $300.
  18. Mackie HR824's are probably my favorite monitors. I wouldn't buy anything else remotely in their price range.
  19. I use KRK Rokits, they're decent enough that I can actually use them for monitoring. And just so you know, headphones don't count for monitoring purposes, they're more for auditioning or just listening. You shouldn't mix on headphones.
