Sonic 3 & Knuckles: Project Chaos - History
SnappleMan replied to k u n g f u c h i c k e n's topic in Projects
Hahahha I just heard MP3s of the Sonic And Knuckles collection, they fucked up Carnival Night too!? hahaha But one cool thing they did was add a kick ass arpeggio at the end of Final Boss, I think I'll go ahead and add that to my song as well! -
I must remix. Help direct me please!

Everyone bitches to everyone who posts a "HAY GUYS HOW DO I REMIX" to read the stickies. It's an initiation ceremony of sorts, and it separates the men from the boys. To keep in line with the drugs reference, the first shot/snort is always free. Touche pussycat! -

Looking for help regarding performing live.

You never talk to me on AIM anymore, myf, we've lost contact and such ANother tip for performing live, interact with the audience, really bring your performance to them. Whether it's just talking between songs or bringing someone up to sing. -
Sonic 3 & Knuckles: Project Chaos - History
SnappleMan replied to k u n g f u c h i c k e n's topic in Projects
Well, under the right circumstances I can turn out a decent song in a day or two. It would be sad to lose anyone from this project, but, rules are rules. It's harsh, yes. But most people don't know how this project was handled from the beginning. KFC and I split the tracklist and enlisted the artists that way. So half the album I pretty much had nothing to do with other than listening to demos or final versions of peoples songs. In the case of the people who I enlisted, I specifically told them the rules. If anyone asked me if they could do something with their track, chances are I'd aprove of it, but to have someone go over me and submit without asking, that's grounds for a boot in the ass. Well, everyone put in so much hard work, waited so long, and produced such great tunes that we can't just forget and ignore the best of the WIPs. This way people can have alternate interpretations of their favorite songs. Oh yeah, I added a new track to the album, check the first post. We should all be kicking ourselves in the ass for not including that... :\ -

SOC=Blackman? -
Hah, a boss battle tribute album at OCR? This is almost guaranteed to be filled with ambient and overinterpreted blandness. Prove me wrong and I'll be a happy man. Also, any boss tribute that doesn't have the boss battles from Final Fantasy Mystic Quest is doomed to failure.

For anyone it may concern, submit your tracks now if you were planning to and haven't already done so. Yeah, if anyones song so much as hits the judges panel before the project is released, I will kick them and their song off the project. -

I'm thinking, S3 minoboss will come right after Angel Island, since that's the first place you hear it. Boss 2 will come at the end of Sonic 3 (so after Launch Base), S&K miniboss will come right after.... hmmm, Hidden Palace! -

Well, the boss themes from both games is the same, it's the miniboss themes that are different. -

Offtopic (but not really), I'm considering spacing the boss themes out between the songs. Like, every 4 zones get a boss theme thrown in after em. This will break up the huge chunk of boss themes at the end of the first album. Good idea? -
The "who uses what" thread
SnappleMan replied to Geoffrey Taucer's topic in Music Composition & Production
Properly setting up a guitar isn't something to "get around to" Taucer! How do you expect to compete with assholes like me if your gear isn't even in proper working order! (nice score by the way, I've been interested in those things for a while) -

Hah, my first instrument was the accordion. I was learning to play that along side acoustic guitar when I was about 6. Sadly I dropped the accordion when I came to the USA a few years later . I'd have totally rocked out like the dudes in that video for Mackies Traction 2. -

So you bitch at him for being a whore and not reading the stickies, yet you go on to help him anyway? "Dude, you really gotta stop shooting up heroin, but since you're here, have all of mine!" -

December of 1992, I was 11. I got a shitty Casio keyboard and a Yamaha electric drumkit for Christmas. Within a week I was recording "covers" of NES tunes on my shitty tape player. Didn't seriously get into "ReMixing" till fairly recently. -

I don't see why we can't make a torrent for this. All we need is a couple dedicated seeders, someone to make the torrent, and the internet. -

A bit of an update. I've been on vacation for the past few days. Most of my time has been spent trying to get some kind of setup going on this slow ass PC. As soon as I configure a decent workspace and figure out what I'll be able to actually use, I'll start putting the finishing touches on the project and we'll be able to launch. -

This is OCR, there's no benefit to a loss-less release. A high VBR mp3 is as good as it gets. And yeah, a 90minute CD should be enough. All I've ever used are the standard 70 minute ones, so yeah, I didnt even know those existed. -

The album is actually intended for an MP3 release only. There are two parts to it. the main soundtrack (which is bigger than one CD) and the special soundtrack. So if you want to burn it properly, you'll need 3 CDs.
