  1. So what'm I doing wrong? When I browse for samples, NN-19 is looking for ".smp, .rcy, .rx2 and .rex" and NN-XT is looking for ".sxt, .smp, .sf2, .rcy, .rex and .rx2".
  2. UncleBob, I've never heard of a free sequencer that supports ReWire.. like Arcana said, NN-XT will load soundfonts. There should be a decent amount of free/downloadable industrial beat samples on da net, specially in VST format. Lotsa free drumkits. Since Reason doesn't support VST, something you could do is open a program that does and export VST beats/samples from there, load them into ReDrum. Now I've got two questions: Is there a way to wire two modules to accept the notes from one sequencer track and/or the main MIDI input? Also, am I crazy or is the ReDrum machine the only module that accepts simple .wav's? Thanks

  4. Likely your settings reset. When I upgraded to 5, I just had to re-select the correct MIDI and audio devices. Try that. If you need more information, then provide greater detail about your problem.
  5. FL: Export as MIDI. Reason: Import MIDI file. Of course, there won't be any audio data/samples included.. just the note etc data.
  6. Where's the link to the actual project site? Am I blind? Right in front of me someplace?.... Also, anyone needing server space is welcome to upload remixes at PaletteSwap. You can also attach your working files (like Fruity Loops or Reason files) there so other folks can help you with them or whatever. Oh and BUMP!
  7. I put a couple searches into FL's help, didn't find anything, had to work, thought, "Hm, bet if I posted this in the FL thread I'd have an answer by the time I get back. Maybe chat some remixing too, which is fun." If you honestly think I couldn't find the answer myself, then you're quite pessimistic and short-sighted. It's simply easier (and usually more fun) to ask people with experience and hey they might even add a few pointers. Seriously, people like you should stray far away from these help threads. If you think a question as basic and easy to answer as mine is "stupid" then by coming here, you're just asking for a headache. Go away and stop making yourself believe you're helpful when you're really just an ass. I got it. All I needed was someone to say "layer channel." Thanks though.
  8. Great. You know, in a help thread, "read the fucking manual" should never really come up. Layer channel, thanks.
  9. I've seen some of the song files FL Studio comes with do this thing where one channel will play two channels at once.... any idea how to do that? I know that's kinda vague... in the Cool Stuff folder, the .flp file "Fuego+Reegz-Aura" does it in the Bass n Str channel.
  10. I like these quite a bit: http://www.novakill.com/killerz.htm Though they REALLY put a processing strain on FL. I've got one project that uses three of these simultaneously and it pops and fizzles like a bastard. Question: From what I've read about gigasampling, it sounds like it's just samples (.wav's)? Or is it something akin to soundfonts that may or may not be compatible with given software? Basically, does gigasampling work with FL?
  11. I wrote a tutorial with lots of graphics and helpful links. It's for beginners. www.paletteswap.com/features/flstudio Enjoy.
  12. I love the whole thing. It's all good. It reminds me heavily of one of the instrumental tracks off of Depeche Mode's Music for the Masses. (which is a good thing imo)

  14. I've had this mix for quite a while and it's high time I gave it some praise. It's constantly in my playlist, and has probably one of my favorite bass lines ever. Go Goat!
  15. Very nice. Liked it so much I'm downloading some of your other stuff. Long and varied enough that it feels like two songs without ever getting boring. I especially liked the guitars. (how'd you do those?)
