  1. Which is kind of a shame especially when that attitude spills over to other places. There was a thread a little while ago where some dude was crapping on some girl's FF7-arrangement project at another site because she was doing straight up sound-upgrades, and he posted about it over here all indignant and shit, like OCR owns the concept of remixing or something. I was like, "What do you want us to do man? Let her do what she wants, she's doing it all by ear anyway." Of course it inevitably lead to people crapping on VotL for no reason over on that site, causing a whole mini-flamewar that nobody actually representative of OCR was even involved in. Nothin' wrong with covers or arrangements, different strokes for different folks. God forbid someone just wants hear Nobuo's original version of Cosmo Canyon that doesn't sound like it's being played by a 10+ year old soundchip. Just don't submit that shit here because I'll NO OVERRIDE that crap hardcore.
  2. It's not worth seeing in the theater. That doesn't mean it's bad. It's just a that it's a TV show. For the record, as a long time Star Wars fan, I liked it a lot.
  3. Maybe it's a gun that makes people drop sandwiches when you kill them.
  4. Aaah damn. It's just Sudden Death mode turned into a gametype. Crap.
  5. Nekofrog sent me an updated version of this track: http://www.metalfrog.org/music/chronotrigger/ctdone.mp3 Plz jooj it.
  6. Agreed, because in the end it doesn't matter where the music is FROM, but what the music IS.
  7. I had a dream about TF2 last night. The new gametype was called "Restaurant," and it was basically the two teams running around trying to cap as much food as possible. The Heavy had a wheelbarrow and the Soldier had a shield made of scrap-metal. I need to go to bed earlier. :\
  8. There is absolutely no reason for you to make a NEW thread just to tell us you're buying a Wii.
  9. This might help you out Neonlare.
  10. Pyro ones you didn't have to go out of your way to do either. I got pretty much all of them during the course of normal gameplay, except maybe the axe ones which I got during some melee only sessions when there were like 5 people on the server.
  11. Found this on InsertCredit: http://www.tecmo.co.jp/product/nostalgeo/index.html It looks like a really fun RPG for DS. It's developed by the same folks that did the Final Fantnasy III and IV DS games, and it's got kind of a Skies-of-Arcadia-mixed-with-Indiana-Jones vibe to it. Apparently it's going to include airship battles in addition to the regular character battles. The character designs also have that old-school adventure anime look to them which is nice. And I've gotta say, that song on the website is pretty great.
  12. Alright, you know what, everybody? Enough of that. Please don't start annoying me, it's not going to get the stuff out any sooner, okay?
  13. http://www.ocremix.org/remixing/ Use that page and follow the links. For example: Electric Guitar Lead http://www.ocremix.org/remixing/skill/electric-guitar-lead/
  14. Given that they said they were introducing another Payload map, I'm not surprised either.
  15. Well he did say he didn't have time to sift through them.
  16. Please feed my massive ego ( ) by using the three Metroid Prime remixes I did. They might be a little too melodic for what you're looking for, but they are kind of atmospheric. http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01286/ http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01507/ http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01661/
  17. http://www.ocremix.org/info/Submission_Standards_and_Instructions BUT FIRST: post in the WIP forum for feedback. If they're your first songs, they might be rough around the edges.
  18. No fave threads! edit: But in the interest of helping you out: 1) Start with a game you like. 2) Find a remix from that game that's pretty good. 3) Listen to another remix by that remixer from a game that you might not have played. 4) Listen to another remix from that game by a different remixer. 5) Go back to step 3.
  19. For the record, the galaxy is at peace: Also for the record, I think Mr. Morse's music is pretty good. p.s. yes, ( ¯^¯) is actually my locally echoed nick, because I am a condescending bastard
