  1. Man I put in a lot of time here and I've been with this organization for quite a while and I'm not really happy about the fact that you guys are thinking about pushing me out for some NOOB.
  2. I dunno if anyone else uses it, but I like to use Pownce (instead of Twitter) for my microblogging purposes. I don't use it as often as I should (though I'm going to try to start using it more), but I figured I'd let you guys know that they recently increased their filesize upload limit to 100MB. You can upload MP3s too and set it up so people can only stream, or friends can download the file. It's pretty good for WIPs and stuff. In any case, this isn't a bad way of getting me or other people to listen to your WIP. If you add me on Pownce, you can send me a message with the WIP embedded right there in a flash player. Pretty useful.
  3. Yeah I can attest to that. I'm pretty noobish when it comes to TF2 and I'm having a ball (PYROOOOOooooo). Actually played a one-on-one game of Goldrush with Dyne today. Hilarity ensued. (i won btw)
  4. Can't believe it took this long for someone to make a Mario Kart joke. Feel less shitty mang.
  5. What are you talking about? I did a when I joined. If you were on Red you would have seen it.
  6. He's done more than just voice work too.
  7. Still not as good as ReVamped. Nice work dude, though I'm not a fan of the jump physics. He goes up and down but it doesn't feel like there's any gravitational acceleration/deceleration.
  8. Kevin Conroy, more than Adam West, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, and Christian Bale combined, is the One True Batman.
  9. SPLIT TO A NEW THREAD It has a lot of organization and collaboration tools right there at your fingertips. It's a lot like a notebook in that you can put text anywhere (not locked into a top-to-bottom Word document). It makes it easier for drawing flowcharts and diagrams, and it's got collaboration too, so you can have shared whiteboard sessions and stuff. I used it a lot when I was in college and turned a lot of my friends on to it. We used the shared whiteboard a lot during senior project planning sessions. It's very powerful.
  10. Gotta agree with the detractors. Stopwatching passes this on a technicality, but honestly Andy correctly points out that we have to look at how the source is used in relation to the other parts of the song. While we certainly have to break things down to understand the source usage, I think it's also important to look at the piece holistically. It's just too liberal this time around. NO
  11. Gotta agree with Vinnie. Really conservative for the likes of OCR, even for the time it was written (wow, 6 years ago? Damn...) I really enjoyed it when I bought SQUAREDANCE all those years ago, but it's just too similar to the original song in structure. The genre adaptation is nice, but that's all it really is. NO
  12. Your best bet is to come back when everything else is done. Music in this case isn't really integral to the gameplay, so you don't need it yet. Artists in this community have been burned before by getting involved with writing music for a project in early stages and then having the project flounder. Also, you should really post a website or something with actual information like screenshots or devblogs.
  13. An aside: gotta agree there, especially when using Microsoft's OneNote note-taking application.
  14. See now you're crossing the line man. CROSSING THE LINE WANNA JOIN BLUEFOX? NO OCR FORUMS ALL WEEKEND YOU WANT THAT COOP-MAN? TRY ME
  15. HEY That's just cause I tempbanned him, right? Thanks a lot.
  16. Let's see... Atomic Robo is a must get. In fact while you're there just buy all six issues of it. Or wait for the trade. In any case it's a fantastic comic from the writer of 8-bit Theatre. Tiny Titans is very fun too even though it's aimed at kids. It's one of my monthly buy books. The All-Star Superman has already achieved a legendary status among fans, so if that's more your taste, hit that. And yes, of course it's free sample day! It's to get people into the comic shops to check out what's going on. In that vein, if you've got 50 cents to spare, I recommend picking up DC Universe #0, which is sort of a preview/teaser of major storylines that DC comics is going to do in the next two years like Final Crisis, Batman: RIP, Wonder Woman: Whom the Gods Have Forsaken, Green Lantern: Blackest Night, etc. It's a full-sized issue and not a bad deal for 2 quarters.
  17. Sorry. That's not useful, nor is it correct, considering people have already given some valid, helpful, on-topic advice to the original poster that's lead to further on-topic discussion. You were already warned, so see you after the weekend.
