I've heard some negative opinions of Full Sail's curriculum from industry folk. I don't know how much of it is just opinion, but I'm a bit wary of the place. That aside, there are some careers out there which pretty much require passion for the job. If you go into a field like game design expecting to have a job handed to you right out of school and coast by on minimum effort, you're guaranteed to get nowhere. If you're looking for same basic '101'-style tips on game design, we've done a few Extra Credits episodes on the subject. I've got a looong list of remixes I plan to use eventually, and that list is steadily growing, so don't be surprised if a few of you end up getting PMed requests for anywhere between one and six tracks.

** A lot of you guys will be getting PMs and/or emails from me about this soon, but I figured I'd put this out here in advance. ** Anybody here who's seen Extra Credits knows that I always use a remix for the end credits of each episode. I do so partly because I like giving the show some musical variety, but largely because I like giving OCR (and the remixing community in general) a free plug wherever I can. Up until this point, I've just been using remixes in a whimsical fashion without contacting you guys in advance, and I've heard no complaints. But the Escapist would feel a whole lot better if I were getting personal permission before using the music (and, honestly, I should have been giving you guys that courtesy anyway). So! This is a public request to use you guys' music for our outros. Again, I'll be contacting you all personally anyway, but I'd like to start compiling a list of who's work I can and can't use. So just post in here and give me the YEA or NAY! Thanks much, fellas (and ladies)! Again, apologies to all for not making the effort to do this before.

If it helps, think of it as a deadline for the currently enlisted, but not something to discourage new people from signing on late.

Welp, I've not heard from zyko in a while, but I'm guessing we're unlikely to have that bonus track in time for you. Sorry.

I'm feeling a mix of excitement and pessimism. Excitement because that was actually a fairly powerful trailer (especially for a zombie game), but pessimistic because I have a sneaking suspicion that trailer is trying to make the game appear far more poignant than it's actually going to be.

From what I can tell, it started out as a gimmick and then he was kinda just stuck with it.

If you haven't seen this guy's series, you definitely should. He stopped doing them about a year ago (sadly), but his observations about games are still fantastic.
