  1. To be fair, I'm a little tiresome of the Schala coverage, and a trance enterpretation of this didn't seem so much of a good way to go on paper. However, what ABG did was basically kept the mood intact with the choice of sub-genre, while still being able to show as welcoming image to fans of the genre. This and "Through Time and Space" seem to compliment each other a lot, so you may expect some comparisons. But for what it is, I actually quite enjoyed this And yes... I also read through djp's lament as well. As a passionate Crash Bandicoot fan, I still want to see coverage of that up there, and if I don't do the first remix (which achieving that alone is still mega unlikely), I will gladly reward that first person who does, however I can >_>
  2. Depending on the time, I *might* make the Sunday party. But yeah, managed to listen through to the whole set twice so far. Though, yesterday I was informed that Pepsi, one of my cats, had passed away in her sleep; assuming that Aetherius originally invisioned the album as "something to listen to on a rainy day", the aftermath was used as the backdrop for the second listen. And let me say right here and now; "House of Frogs" at the end was the one that *finally* got me moved. I may have thought some of the solos in the middle might've killed the mood slightly, but if the tailends of the track got me to crumble, then it was obvious that Brad and Fishy managed to pull off something really pretty for the most part. Well done to both of you
  3. I'm so glad to see it all come together at last! Don't think I'll be able to make the listening party tho, but I shall still check out the album tonight. For now, way to go everyone on a job well done
  4. Wow, a date this soon? I'm glad it's all coming together I feel so guilty for not having my profile ready tho; is there still time, or did you end up using one from a past project?
  5. Letting you know that I finally sent you the WAV. Any problems, let me know >_>
  6. I've just sent my WIP in Kyle's mailbox. It should hopefully be very close to final in production too
  7. Just letting you know that i haven't forgotten the deadline and will have something ready for it. Have your inbox on standby
  8. Kyle, I'm still working on it; last time I said that I had some RAM issues in getting it exactly how I wanted. I've found a way to get around it and have worked as much as I can throughout the course of the past week, though it would take me a little past the deadline to fully realise it. I'll have the finished track ready by Friday, I'm absolutely certain of it
  9. I thought about IP addresses too O.o The only other idea I could think of was that at one point or other, Gray borrowed a few samples from djp for "Time's Anxiety"; thus, djp might've taken up the Gray persona and spoke to people undercover about the community and personal lives. But I bet people had already said that and have been proven very wrong. *shrug* Either way, I joined the group too because Gray was great to talk with back in the day. I stand no chance in finding him though living about 8 time zones away, but I'll still watch the progress as it comes. Gray, if you're reading, please come back; the community wholeheartedly misses your presence
  10. Let me guess - did SnappleMan did a more convincing cosplay of me this time around? That's the only thing I can guess, really. Also as you already know, I DO have a finished composition (and had it shown by the previous deadline), alas I've been too sick over the past week to really refine it. If you can give me a couple more weeks, then I should be okay.
  11. Just letting you know that I should have my track ready within the next 12-24 hours. I'm wrapping it up in the rendering stages now
  12. Well, I didn't receive your notification because my inbox is full (I gotta clean it out soon >_>) but still, March 31st? That's more than enough time to get a finished mix in. Thanks for the heads up
  13. I don't know - as far as Team Iceland's concerned, DiggiDis took it in a swaver direction than I thought I could invision but I'm still happy to tackle it myself for the team. And Kyle, get your email on standby - the WIP (and by that, hopefully a finished composition!) should be set in stone in the next few hours.
  14. Lol, some things never change.
  15. I've beaten Radical Dreamers a few times. But that's beyond the point - the people with these projects know what they're doing and how to approach the albums. We never strive to beat what we think is the personal best remix project out there (and contrary to most I STILL think it's Summoning of Spirits, heh) - what we do is set our goals and allow people to be creative with what we've got. Brad stated his goals on showing a wide history of OCR in spite of having no nostalgic connection with Link's Awakening, and if that's what he's stepped out to do, then that's his agreement.
  16. That's because Sonic 1's soundtrack didn't have many tunes in comparison to other Genesis games to begin with. We're given what we've got to make something awesome out of them. And considering the average length for the usual track by most of the artists that have signed up, that shouldn't be a problem, but it's still our choice on how long we should make our tracks in the end, and how we approach it for that matter.
  17. Lol, Miracle Matter - while one of the toughest bosses in the game - wasn't as hard as apparently made out in the description. That said, it's great to see Kirby 64 get some love out here - not only was one of the best games in the series IMO finally covered, but also one of my fave tracks from it, so I really gotta hand it to Prototype for getting the job done. Yeah, I do admit that the genre selection is pretty obvious as someone else stated, but I still personally can't imagine this taken in any other direction, so I say this is nailed straight on the head here. That's just made the instant jump to my MP3 player
  18. Yeah, I also apologised for slipping aside the WIP deadline completely; my main priority was getting in a first demo ready for the Sonic 1 project (which checked out ok, may I add ). Rest assured, I'd have something finished and good to go by the 26th
  19. http://www.ocremix.org/forums/member.php?u=30559 Apparently, this douchebag had no idea that Project Chaos was already finished. :\
  20. I'd like to give it a go as well. While I was at University, all of my Decembers were spent writing a piano number based on certain Genesis videogames that would fit the theme and/or a wintry feel (Year 1 - Sonic & Knuckles / Year 2 - Ristar / Year 3 - Phantasy Star III). I'm keen to tackle it again, maybe even mix it with a proper Christmas tune as well. Good luck with the project Dyne
  21. Well, if you were hoping to ask for sheet music, then asking Hetcenus himself would be an option; however, he's been missing from here for quite some time. I don't know if I still have the project file for "Beneath the Ashes" though, but if I do, I could have a go on that in his place.
  22. To my knowledge, Patrick Wagstaff covered the former on VGMix v2 ages ago, amongst many other tracks from the game. (Word of note: the volume's pretty loud in that one, so watch your speakers!) I'm with you, some of the original tunes in Land were awesome
  23. Fantasy Zone had some coverage back in PRC57, covering the ending theme. But yeah, it needs more, that's for sure >.>
  24. I see quite a lot of popular requests for the Conservatory of all things. It might be a bit risky for my particular arrangement style, but the theme might be done depending on the theme for the final round for the aforementioned Grand Audition 2009 (which starts next week). I can't wait for the revelation Or if the theme doesn't match, then I'll see about taking part in the PRC again, after so long. Maybe.
  25. Depending on the theme, I might do some Majora's Mask coverage for the final round of RPGamer.com's Grand Audition 2009 (which I won the second round). I've been begging to do so for quite some time In the meantime, there's also , which didn't make it past the judges' panel when subbed in 2004, but was still a chilling take on "Final Hours". Probably one of my more favorite mixes from this game. The Joker covered "Deku Palace" for his entry into the RPGamer.com competiton Sonic Revolution back in 2005, titled "Royal Enquiry". As a judge for the aforementioned contest, I saw it as one of the better submissions, but whether you'd appreciate the track or not would depend more on whether you'd understand Joker's melodical style or not. Also, Deku Palace got covered AGAIN for PRC55. Of course, Joker made ANOTHER remix, though in the end, V took the win back then. At least the turnout was very plentiful
