I've been seeing this thread on gen disc for some time now but the idea of this being a remixing project of the ssf2t ost never passed through my head. So I was like.. "I'm bored... wut? ssf2? oh a thread by shael riley.. this must be sum fun shit." But even then I didn't think it was another remixing project, until I read the first post. ANYWAYS!! I've got my hands busy right now with the S&K project and with Kirby one too, so I'm kinda interested in tackling the cammy stage song and the blanka stage song but not right now. But if you give me a few months, I'll give them a try. Good luck.

As a request from Shariq, I'll be remixing the Final boss theme. I've been working since last week and now I'm almost halfway through it. I'm having some problems with some of the melodies that don't fit right so I think I'm gonna have to make a lot of changes around the melody. I'll work hard on this and I hope I can deliver something of high quality to this project.

I was talking with my collab partner on our hidden palace mix. So far I've offered WIPs on my part, but since the piano sections will be played by my partner most of the stuff you heard maybe its gonna be changed or modified. We should start working together soon(as soon as I get off my lazy ass) Expect some cool dream trance out of this

I agree in that the WIPs must be kept down until the final version. First, offering a crapload of WIPs with pretty much almost no difference between each version will onl pollute the thread. Second, whats the fun of making a project if everybody grabbed the songs before it was finished? this happened with a lot of the tracks for the S2 project. And its the reason I'm not giving away WIPs. People know what to expect from people like Darkesword, Gecko Yamori, analoq or even me, they don't need WIPs to know if the project will be good or bad.

I have an idea. It may be a bit of a long shot, but we could make a deal with the people who run the Peoples' Remix Competition and get people to make a remix for that track; the winner gets put on the project. It can be possible - "Rise of a Star" and "Dark Side of Phobos" also did that now tahts a great idea. I'm in for an Ice cap PRC. Its a good way to fairly decide which mix is better too.

Anyway, I was looking for a Hidden Palace midi to link to in order to clear up confusion, but all of the ones on Vgmusic appear to be mixes between Lava Reef and Hidden Palalce. See, I haven't played a lot of S&K so I dunno the source tunes very well. And since all the midis I've heard start with lavareef I though that was the way it went, so I started with the lava reef part. Anyways, I'm not thinking about changin my mix, I was going to portrait the hidden palace melody after the end of this demo so I'll leave the lava reef part there as some sort of cameo, and I'll change it up a bit too, to then focus on the hidden palace song. It will still be a Hidden palace remix though. The melodies are very alike, after all.

No. Lave Reef and Hidden palace have the same start. The second section of the song is what makes them different. This was a demo of less than two minutes, and one entire minute is dedicated to build up the intro with ambience. So that's only the beginning. The part that comes after it will portrait hidden palace song.

Just for the record, I have tried like 5 times to get a decent start, but every single try has led to pure shit. I said to nuts and a few others, that i would give one attempt at the song...well, ive tried more than once. Find someone else to mix the song, i will not be trying to mix it anymore.
