I can't use DX10 in fruity loops edition - it's considered demo software. No, this competition isn't about me. However, I'm stuck with the normal version that we're basing the competition on.

I've got fruity loops version (second only to the sexpress edition in cheapness) so I'll see what all I can use. I'm pretty sure it's limited to full edition stuff, though. So... if you can write everything and save it, and you aren't using external samples or plugins, then you're fine. External means you have to buy it separately or in one of the uber-packs, like Sytrus... So here's a list of things I can use. This may or may not be exhaustive. So yeah. Can't use samples from the game, but can create original music. Basically, everything's got to originate from fruity loops or the sample pack.

It's also "inspired by"... so if you find something that you think would be able to go in the game (some kind of wandering music probably... maybe something kinda chaotic...) then that works too. I'm using loop 2 mostly, I'm liking all of the ones included though...
