  1. Still haven't got Sunday pics off, but here's a few I have up: Loitering near "No Loitering" signs was a common theme. Posting this before djp gets a chance to shop it. Dyne was really good. The spoils of victory. That all said, there's a possibility of a mid-July meetup (location TBD), and then Otakon. After that, I'm planning an Ocean City, Maryland meetup. This would probably be a weekend in October. Condos are really cheap to rent there that time of year (a Friday-Monday would be between $40-80 each for 8 people) but I need to know what weekends work best for everyone. Any weekend after Labor Day weekend in September or October is up for grabs, and I'll be deciding by popular vote. Once a date is decided I'm going to need $10-20 from everyone who's coming as a deposit (since I'd need to put a deposit down when reserving). One example of a place I'm looking at. (This is actually my preferred location, and it seems to be open every weekend in October. It's near the boardwalk, and earlier in October the water should still be warm enough.) I'll make a separate thread for this soon, but I want to see who's interested here first.
  2. Got a lot more, but this is the one I wanted to get up:
  3. I need to get a USB cable before I can get my pictures off. I also have more videos. I just got up after sleeping for 5 hours. I'm sure I didn't need sleep as much as some people but I still needed it.
  4. I've got my videos put together and uploaded. Photos tomorrow (since I took ~50 and probably only got a few good ones).
  5. Pixie said you'd be able to, and I just kind of assumed that was still in place. That being said, I'm along the way and if you want to swing by my place and trade a passenger so it's less crowded (and so I don't end up driving up alone and taking 4 hours and 230 miles again). At least let me know what timetable you were planning so I can somewhat plan around that.
  6. Is there any food/beverage I could bring as well? I was planning on just bringing some food to begin with (and forgot to mention) but that kind of changed when I changed to not driving up myself.
  7. I feel like I owe you something. Like, 10 bucks?
  8. I need to know from djp & co. when they'll be by and stuff. I may be working late so if they were planning on coming up earlier that might throw a wrench in things (and/or I'll need to get time off ahead of time).
  9. We should try to set up a seat block so we can all sit near each other. I'm still not 100% sure if I can go or not.
  10. I just found out my high school reunion is the same weekend. I'll have to make a decision.
  11. I don't remember what mine is. Hold on a sec... Edit: Okay, none at all. I swear I had either Ramza or Mario (the first due to being a diehard FFT fan, the second for matching the Mario title I had at one point).
  12. The hard drive is probably underneath the keyboard. There's probably a plastic cover that runs underneath the screen (and may also be the same piece as the hinge covers). This is usually held on by one or two screws on the bottom and then by plastic tabs. Look for an indentation, you should be able to pry it up with a fingernail. Be careful when lifting it up as it may also be one piece with the button board/ribbon cable and if you tear that you won't be able to turn it on. Lift it up slowly and if there's a cable attached then detatch that carefully and remove the cover. There should then be a couple screws holding the keyboard down at the top. Unscrew those and gently lift the keyboard once again being careful of the cable. The ribbon cable for the keyboard either connects by a snap-in connector (pry up the edges of the connector with your fingernail) or a "pinch" connector (I don't know the technical term for it) where the end of the cable slides in between two pieces of plastic and is then 'pinched' to stay in place. Once you have that up you should be able to get to the hard drive. Make sure to slide the drive horizontally and disconnect it completely before lifting it up (so you don't bend the connector or worse, the motherboard). My job involves repairing laptops so if you have any more questions send me an IM.
  13. 512 is midrange now? I don't even want to know how it's going to do on my 64mb X300.
  14. I'm driving up the night before, if pixie/zircon don't have a problem with a couple more people both nights I could give a couple rides from Baltimore.
  15. Will you be putting people up the night before as well? If so put me down for everything. I can also bring some food and some of my patented BBQ sauce that I forgot to make for the Baltimore BBQ.
  16. Regarding future meetups, stay tuned as we're planning something for October.
  17. Okay for people coming to the BBQ: Address: 35 Edgemoor Road Timonium, MD 21093 Simple directions: Exit I-83 at the Timonium Road exit and head East. If you head into a lot of trees that's the wrong way. Keep going east to York Road (big confusing intersection) and keep going straight until you see a Citgo gas station on the left. It's the first right after that, my house is on the right with a driveway and the number 35 on the lamppost. Light rail: If anyone's coming by light rail, call me before you get on the train so I can pick you up. You want the Timonium stop. Phone: 410-905-0165 is my cell, you can also text short messages and questions. Things should be starting around noon, and going as late as people want to/can stay.
  18. It's looking less and less likely that I'll be able to get out of here in time. If anyone's still coming up tonight or tomorrow give me a call or text (410)905-0165. I can't give any rides because I don't have a ride myself.
  19. Crap, I don't have anyone's numbers (new phone). Can I get some PMs? I'll probably be coming down around 3, and I'll also probably be taking the light rail down (anyone coming back with me can take it up, and I can also shuttle people Sunday morning).
  20. Might be showing up late or later (anytime between 2 and 4). More details later.
  21. There's still the big greenhouse/awning out back (for anyone who's been to a previous Q) and I can also host two people overnight, maybe three.
  22. I've got my grandmother's car indefinitely which comfortably seats 3 others (once I clean it out...oops).
  23. Since I'm beyond broke right now I'll just be packing a lunch and/or showing up late. To anyone interested in coming to the Sunday BBQ: PM me for my phone number.
  24. And my place is still available especially if you want to come to the Sunday BBQ and Noob-meet!
  25. If I can't have my media player this small I won't have it at all.
