This is excellent work. If the composer who did the music for FFXII remixed this track, this is what would come out. Personally though, I don't like the new music style. It lacks personality somewhat, and bite. That's just my personal preference for games though, your work is in itself flawless.

FF:MQ bombed far more than FF8 As for the track, I thought it sounded a bit uninspired at first until it changed gears so to speak. ^^ Now I just think it's awesome!

Okay, I checked it out, and it's called Final Battle in the chiptune.

I downloaded the chiptune, and there doesn't seem to be a song with that name on it. Is it the song you get when you enter Daos' Shrine or the bottom of the Ancient Cave you mean? : /

I was playing it just now and I thought how some of the pieces have quite a bit of potential if the got a chance with some real-sounding instruments. Just a suggestion : )

Somehow made me think of the Mega Man X series (which is a good thing in my book). Perhaps one of the final levels in some creepy virused-up world? : ) Basically, I'm wondering why this isn't in some game yet ^^

The problem is... it's just not as good as most of the other ones : / It's mostly based on her main theme anyways, but because of this it's not particularly unique-sounding. The regular boss battle theme is far more interesting I think. : )

Oh! Total coolness! Sorry for not replying earlier. I rarely check in here nowadays. ^^ Well, I've listened to it now, and although I have no skills in this territory I'm a bit disappointed. It sounds like the melody was simply slowed down and the instruments replaced by inferior ones : /

This is a track that I've been searching after for forever, but now that I finally found it I'm a bit disappointed. It's obvious that the song is bloody excellent, but the quality of the instruments is just too low to do it justice. I'm sure there are masters of the bombastic out there ready to chisel out the real awesomeness that is contained within the shell of this track. Yay! Bloody excellent this one. Easily the best remix of this song done to date. Basically, this is how it should have been. (Maybe you can do the final tier sometime ) My only reservation is that the sound is low. It's highly possible that I'm just a noob who doesn't know how to fix it, but to enjoy this track I have to raise the volume by a lot.

Yeah, it was good but a little too minimalistic perhaps. I still think these songs deserve more remixes

Axelay might not be what most space-shooter gamers crave (too easy is what I hear), but no one can in their right minds complain about the music! Almost every single tune is worthy of remixing, but one that I can hear screaming for it in the distance is the cave theme (level 4). The song is avaliable on the site as chiptune.

I don't think I gave this enough credit before. I think many remixers would feel satisfied with what you achieved up until the 2 minute mark, but the mix doesn't slow or loop from there, but takes the song to a different level. I wish I had this kind of talent ^^

Well, obviously you're a qualified singer, but in this remix it really doesn't sound that way. Now, I don't know if it has to do with this not being your genre or if it just needed another retake, but it doesn't sound very well. During the duet your voices clash. At least that's how it sounds to me. It somehow feels like there could have been more preparation to get they style down. I was bothered by a similar thing with the SoM remix. I really liked it until the japanese text started, because the pronunciation was all wrong. Imagine someone who has never spoken a word english wholy serious tried to sing a balad or something along those lines. Lots of words would be impossible to understand because they were pronounced wrongly. Wouldn't it bother you? I think it would have been better there to either just go for a english text (that part I really liked) or to learn a somewhat proper pronunciation. It's not at all complicated really. Basically what I'm trying to say is: Don't quit, but either make some songs that ARE in your genre, or put a little more effort in getting the new genre down. Music will always attract elitists who have smug opinions on the right/wrong way to preform a certain genre (possibly me included ). I mean heck, even modern chamber music (I hope that's the right translation), which usually is atonal and sounds like complete randomness has its elitist critics

I can only think of one way to improve this mix, and that would be to write some lyrics for it No one would ever be able to figure out it was from a game if they didn't know it beforehand.

Well well well You've really milked this tune on all it had, and absolutely to no excess! The pieces from the trial fit in nicely too. Better than Calamitous Judgement in my opinion.
