  1. that organ thing looks like the keyboard that they use in the "Hey Ya" video. doot doot doot doot!
  2. run the installer as an administrator? or in compatibility mode for xp?
  3. this actually sounds pretty sweet. i'll have to give it a shot =)
  4. almost. it's going to be buddy gaming - 2-3 player missions, most of the time. guild wars tried this with the nightfall and later campaigns that allow you to get extra guys that you control - like, each person controls a main character and three lesser henchmen, allowing two people to fill out an 8-man party. i like this progression, since it means you can play with a single buddy and still get most of the game. better than trying to get a huge PUG and then get stuck with losers.
  5. thanks for the bump on iRis, Bardic =) guys, if you want a reverse TD game, check out the other game i've done - Tower Assault! Curse of Zombie Island. you shoot brains out of a cannon. you shoot brains out of a cannon.
  6. well, kotor 1 was great, and kotor 2 (considering that it was released, what, ten months after the first?) was pretty darn awesome too. they've been working on TOR for years already, so i'm sure it's going to be incredible. bioware's got some pretty good experience making awesome games, all told.
  7. the game is larger than every other bioware game, ever, combined. every single NPC is uniquely voiced by a different person. it's an mmo about star wars. galaxies sucked and still got a zillion players. supposedly at least 60 hours of primary content at release. they've taken everything awesome about the kotor games, and turned it into something that's viable online. anyone else want to add something?
  8. on ebay, 120s sell for as little as 35-40$. 20gb drives sell for around 25$. same same. look on craigslist, honestly.
  9. i am so incredibly pumped for this game. got three computer orders specifically for this game already =)
  10. 75$ a person, and superjoe gets half a bed. unless we can find one more person who wants to be in the overflow hotel and will drink elsewhere.
  11. a note, doug - unless you've got a reason to install more than one game at a time, don't bother getting larger than a 20gb HDD, or at largest a 60gb HDD. i never had a use for my 120gb (or my 250gb) drives, even with tons of stuff left on there, until i got into using homebrew stuff. also, wired controllers work with a PC =) and represent a pretty darn good gamepad for Windows, all told.
  12. haven't been home since thursday morning, so hopefully my gift came - and it didn't get soaked or something =) i'll check today when i get home.
  13. yes, i did. if you read the notes on the website, you'll see that it's based on the first movement of New York Counterpoint =)
  14. strader, you regifted the art books i gave you? seriously? edit: also, i'm still waiting on my santa gift =( i hope it comes before i leave town on thursday! if not, i'll hopefully get it before the end of the year.
  15. just a bump, as the party's tomorrow at 5pm. be there or be square!
  16. not a bad idea. it's theoretically possible to flood an entire building with one water source block - meaning that you could easily flood a castle when you leave, and then un-flood it when you come back.
  17. i can't. edge is l33t hax all the way. just kidding
  18. thanks for the awesome writeup, mirby, for the whole album =) just a point - this was actually recorded live, by eleven saxophones. SSSSAATTTBB, if you want to know the instrumentation. it might not necessarily sound that way, but i worked my ass off to make the recording as realistic as possible - and as close to the original New York Counterpoint, written for eight soprano clarinets and three bass clarinets, which have way more dynamic contrast available to their instruments than saxes do. edit: huh? do you mean 19, or are you counting two out?
