  1. just checking in. still fooling around with the track Damned recommended.
  2. so, i'm 99% sure i'm going. someone needs to buy my xbox, though, to give me the funds to go. or my psone.
  3. ok, so i talked to sephfire a little while ago, and he said that he'd like to stay in if he could. he was waiting on SirRus's track to get to him so he could start working on it. yeah, they were a little late, but i love their work, so here's what we're going to do. i want to hear both emp's arrangement, and the sephrus arrangement. so i want to have both on the project. i'm guessing that there'll be enough difference in their tracks so its not hearing two of the same style tunes. so, emp, get working. sephrus, you two get working too. looking forward to what i'm gonna hear from you.
  4. damn, i thought you were gonna ask to do something for this. Well, I would now But it looks like all the tracks have already been claimed. I'm a bit slow sometimes. if anyone drops, i'll contact you. actually, sephfire/SirRus's track has recently become available, as they're pulling out for the moment. Also, 'Portal' is kind of open too, provided dhsu doesn't still want to do something on it. even if he does, we've got other repeats on tracks. does anyone want them?
  5. if he was, i've not heard anything more than that original mix that fishy submitted. i want to hear more, MORE, MORE! lol.
  6. if you're replacing it with guitars, then use the ovd/dist sample that's included with Reason, with the 'americanlead' or 'eazyfuzz' (or something like that) and it turns pretty good. i've got an example that i can email you, if you want.
  7. i'm hoping you can motivate him to keep working, rexy. i'd appreciate it. dhsu, if you want to do something for the solo track you're signed up for, by all means do it. i love your work. i thought that you had gotten SOMETHING from DrumUltimA, but i guess not. i'll freak out on him later today, hopefully. that said! unless i've heard from them in the next 24 hours, these people are officially off the project. Blizihizake sephfire/SirRus EazyP Antisheep ktriton gets an extension because he already warned me about taking a long time. get to work, people!
  8. what are you using for your original sample? that's really important if you want a good output. i've done everything i've ever done with the 'americanlead' preset for 2.5, and one other one i can't remember.
  9. this is a bump. two days and counting till the first deadline! remember, if you don't have a good excuse for not posting a wip of some kind, you've got a good chance of being off the project.
  10. anyone going from new york (not NYC, unfortunately)? or, anything in line with western new york, or close to it? like, baltimore? i'd love not to drop friggin 200 bucks on a plane ticket, but gas is almost that expensive nowadays too. i'd rather carpool.
  11. if anyone wants help with their orchestral mix, i'm very experienced in doing those kind of things (i'm a music education major). i'll help you out, provided i'm just doing orchestration and not writing your mix for you.
  12. no news from prizm. tensai's giving me guitar parts sometime soon, and then i'll record the sax, and then we'll be done with that one.
  13. this is me saying i'm still available to help out if some of those tracks go from being un-worked-on to unclaimed.
  14. they were yousendit files, and the links have expired. if she cares, she might repost them, but i don't know if it'd be worth it right now. she's got a lot of responses already.
  15. oh. i guess i didn't realize it was that simple/complicated.
  16. i've used this in the past, and mostly just gotten muffled instrumentals. how do artists get vocal lines for professional remixes if they've gotta do all this crap? i thought there was a way to just rip it out.
  17. so, i know that there's some sort of plugin or vst or program or SOMETHING that will take a song and extract the vocals from it, and save the vocals only. i'd love to know more about it, but i can't seem to find much of anything on it. i don't even know what to call it. so yeah, more info would be nice.
  18. besides the part where i could totally synth prizm's part and no one would know thanks to a great electric guitar sampler i got the other day, there's a great guitarist in my old dorm who could do it.
  19. so, its been several months since i've heard from prizm, and he just emailed me and said it'd be several more months. i don't think prizm's ever going to mail me back. should i have someone i know re-record his guitar parts to make them cleaner, and master it myself? or should i continue to try to email him? or should we just roll with his wip, after i clean the mastering up a bit?
  20. yo, i've got the fl6 .flp file sitting on my desktop waiting to be edited, so if da decides she wants my cut, i can fool with it. i know my version is too loud - that's the unfortunate problem of letting FL6 handle your mp3 files straight in. the reverb/echo makes more sense when it isn't blasting into your head and instead is just kinda chillin in the background with all the rest of the fuzz on this track. i'm sending da a copy with better volume control soon. maybe then it'll make sense. edit - i just emailed it to her. we'll see what she says.
  21. i'm assuming someone will drop out by the deadline (or because of it). assuming that happens, we'll see. nice guitar...and especially the sax programming. fantastic work. there's a place for you if we get a dropout (provided you don't use those brass samples).
