  1. alright. it took me way too long to get caught up on all this crap. first off, i've got no problem with RK and Taucer working on GWSTS. i've got a lot of faith in both mixers to make something awesome (as usual). don't forget that darangen/rexy (go for it, you two!) are also doing that theme. you're going to have to make sure your arrangement is sufficiently different from theirs to make it fit into the project...but you will, i'm sure. whistle power, activate. fishy's in for guitar, dragonavenger's in for vocals (you're a girl, right?), and drumultimaaaaaaa is in for drums (however, he doesn't play tablas. what use is he?) prometheus has asked to do snakebone manor with me, and i'm inclined to accept. however, i don't want to take tracks from others, so as of right now that's all i'll do is the two tracks i'm in right now. sixto's in. werd. he's a shredder who solos exceptionally well on electric guitar. and gets run over by forklifts. somehow. he also owes us over at LAProject a track =) ellywu2 wants either Days of Summer or Strange Presentiment. i say he can pick either - i love his music. i'd prefer he picks strange presentiment, however - its a minimal amount of sourcetune, and i would trust his arrangement abilities over that of someone with less proven (20 or so mixes on vgmix) talent. i feel it'd sound good with bigbeat stuff too, which is what i love the most about ellywu2's music. OA has offered to do art eventually (samples, please!) and host a site, and Bongo Bill will mirror eventually. There's some kid who's decent from deviantart, too - i liked his stuff too. i guess we've got a bit of a competition for artwork, too! chavous is looking at 'facing'. any progress on that? should i sign you up for it? drumultima wants to do an acoustic version of Days of Summer with someone. any takers? maybe blizihizake, who's looking at it too, would help you out. V wants to do Days of Summer as well. i use reason - pm me if you've got a question, man. assuming you're using reason 2.5, i can do your production/drums through rewire in fl6. since fl6 is so much better at production than reason 2.5. dhsu and LAOS are also looking at Days of Summer. that's four people looking at it. anyone want to look elsewhere for ideas? the second half of the soundtrack still needs help. Maybe, you two, you could look at Epilogue as well - there's a lot of creativity that could happen on that track. i'll say this flat out - i don't want four mixes of the same track. that's too repetitive, and it'll end up being too much. if i had my way, i'd give it to drumultima (loved his wip) and blizihizake (if they work together, that'd be even better). v, i'd rather you looked at other songs - how about 2/17? i'm not telling you to kill your wip, though - i just don't want a ton of mixes of DOS. i'd like to make it only two mixes of this particular tune, if possible. it depends on who works with who, of course. as for the final song, i was thinking about working with me (sax, vocals), taucer (whistle, acoustic), drumultima (duh), dhsu (keys), darangen or sixto (electric), and possibly somebody for bass. else i'll record it. what do you think? once i have feedback, i'll start working on the arrangement. something i was thinking about is a dual cd release - but, have it be that each cd has the complete tracklisting of the original soundtrack - meaning, two sets of the entire soundtrack, remixed. that's a possible way of handling popular themes. that'd only really give us 3-4 remixes of the distant promise track, and two of the days of summer track. what do you say? it'd give dhsu and LAOS another possible candidate for their duet (namely, ending). ktriton wants arrangement ideas sometime soon for 'Final Confrontation'. still need updates from ubernym, antisheep, sirrus/sephfire, antipode, and that's about it. everyone who's said they want to work on a track, give me a definate, whether via email or pm, as to what you're working on and we'll go from there. i don't want tracks going uncovered because there's ten remixes of two songs, though - if something's open, please look at that before you sign up for the ninth remix of 'distant shore'. please. i don't want to release this with good tracks from the soundtrack untouched. you also aren't officially part of the project until you've responded with a song to be signed up on. i will say that i'd love to hear what antisheep is able to do with 'epilogue', if Dhsu and LAOS don't want it. i'll update the original post as soon as this goes through.
  2. if you still want production help (like i emailed and pm'd you about) then please contact me.
  3. i wasn't planning on remixing 'canvas' as just using the style/vibe and doing the last track on the album.
  4. omg double post MUSICAL TALENT AVAILABLE Saxophone - The Prophet of Mephisto Irish Whistle - Geoffery Taucer Brass - The Prophet of Mephisto (maybe...depends on the difficulty) Guitar - Geoffery Taucer (acoustic), Antisheep (electric), Sixto (electric), Fishy (whatever...he's insane) Bass - Antisheep (electric), The Prophet of Mephisto (electric, upright, fretless) Violin - Ubernym Piano - Rexy, DrumUltima (jazz), Ubernym (any style) Drums - DrumUltimA (no steel drums = useless, jazz+1) Vocals - The Prophet of Mephisto (male, not toooo high), DragonAvenger (female), EazyP (jokemix freestyle omg), Ubernym (guy) Turntables - sephfire This is all I've heard about so far. If you want to offer forth your musical abilities, please send me a pm or email - I'll update this post as often as possible.
  5. RADICAL DREAMERS PROJECT speaking of tracks - TRACKLIST See first post. as you can see, the rexy/dar collab, sirrus/sephfire, sleepy emp, and ellywu2 are not on the project officially because they never updated. if they want to, they can get back in - till then, we're not listing them. we're moving along well! we're ALMOST DONE! We're planning on a release at magfest, barring anything unforseen. we'll open and post the website after the 'concert' release party thing. OA has offered to host, do the website, and has done a bunch of songs too =) He's already set up a forum off of his site (get the link from me, project mixers) and so we're using that for posting WIPs and the link. Bongo Bill offered to mirror for us. We've got a forum where we're posting the WIPs and all that - if you've got a WIP and need to post it, pm a project member. They'll hook you up. That all said, thank you for being interested/participating, and this has really turned out to be a fantastic project with some incredible mixes on it. props to all the mixers on this project that have done such great work. see you all in january!
  6. as of right now, what songs are not covered? like, which songs that we wanted to do are not finished as of this time. i'm seriously considering just doing the rest myself to get this project finished.
  7. look at the ff7 project for more examples of this. that said, i'll record sax for someone if they need it. i will NOT do a remix, though. i won't have time. best of luck, though.
  8. this is the idea, dhsu. there are a significant amount of good performance and arrangement talent that we've invited, so hopefully you can find a person to work with. if you can't, that's fine - more meat for me =) i'll post more about the details of the project later today - it's 4am, and i just started my work shift (unfortunately). i'll be back in ten hours or so.
  9. lemon, shut up. this is going down the tubes for one solid reason. when the project started, we didn't attract solid, dependable remixers who finish projects, normally. we attracted n00bs. Haydn, Shinnymetal, spc1st, etc. that said, we still do have progress. 8 songs is good - we need another 4-6 for a decent project. prizm is remastering our track, it's basically done. we need the commitment to get five more songs done, and we're set. shinnymetal's track, while being quite odd, isn't really all that bad, and neither is spc1st's (i kinda like his.) that leaves three songs, approximately, from this project being completed (to an extent). aeth, what do you have to say?
  10. Don't worry: [OMGSECRET]'s JENOVA mix is absolutely amazing. As for one winged angel... ohwait, that's a secret too. (As I've said before, I'm having way too much fun with this) oh, you're such a loser, taucer. that said, email me after you get back, please.
  11. Yeah, I hear that a lot, nice arrangement but crappy mixing yes, I'm aware of the style constrictions, I'll definitely be able to abide by them, and I'll pay particular attention to the mixing now I was planning on doing something slow and melancholic, partially orchestral, partially slow rock, with some real solo guitar. i'll assist with the mixing half of things, if tensai writes the good arrangement. that's what taucer and i usually do. you know, you should really use something not as annoying as putfile for this kind of stuff. even yousendit is better for this sort of thing.
  12. i don't know of i mentioned this before, but i'm definately available for saxophone work and performance for this project. i really enjoyed ff7 all four times i played it =) and i'd love to help, if possible. maybe if a track is still open or someone backs out...?
  13. the fact that we've been working on this project for that long (and that you've gained 300 posts since we started) is a notice that we're taking to damned long to finish this project. does it piss anyone off that we've got no updates on our site since may 8th?
  14. i didn't know eon was doing that. didn't he design/help with danny b's site?
  15. does this mean you're still doing artwork? man, i forgot this project even had a name. that was back on, like, page 15 or something. didn't prizm submit it? oh, that said, i'm waiting on him for the final version of our song. its being mastered, and then you'll get the final. lookie here, two songs done! what else do you want?
  16. if you hate it, you shouldn't have done it. wait, isn't monobrow a chick?
  17. no, you do that with your 'i never update our site or anything' attitude. lawl
  18. well, i've got one at 100%, and one at 60% (btw, sent sax parts to prizm for him to mix with his final guitar parts, so we're closing in on done). of the rest of the mixes, the ones still active are mostly nearing completion. so where are you?
  19. update. my villa mix is at 70%, currently. i need a place to host it, so if epo were to contact me on aim in about 14-15 hours or so...
  20. actually, he sent me guitars yesterday. i'm recording handdrums and sax tomorrow or friday (whichever fits into the schedule) and i should have a rough wip soon. i'll be recieving the final cut of guitars next week sometime. forgot to mention that.
  21. i didn't explain it because the manuals do it better anyways. i mean, come on. you like sound blaster. what am i SUPPOSED to think is the hard part?
  22. oh. right click on the box that shows what your bpm is. click 'edit automation'. set it to what it should be. in order to tell what's what, look in the top left corner, where usually status updates are. when your mouse is on the automation window, it'll show up with BPM figures. just click where you want them...same as always, right click lets you drag a line, left click just sets it as normal...etc. if that doesn't explain it, whatever. read your damn manual.
