  1. A lot of your complaints are based purely on what you see - and the fact of the matter is there's a friggin' TON of stuff going on behind the scenes here. You're making a lot of assumptions about what we supposedly haven't been doing that are just that - assumptions. And guess what? They're uneeded and flat-out wrong. Ultimatums have been made, songs (MANY songs) have been dropped, remixers have been cut. Hell, if you were paying attention to the info we DO make public, you'd be aware of half of that. The project's forums have several sections only remixers and other members of the project are able to view, so your claim that the other remixers ought to be able to know "why" things aren't done is baseless - they can and do see how things are going.

What does you knowing the exact specifics of "why" a song isn't complete help? School, broken computers, bone-crushing accidents - these things happen in real life and have gotten in the way of things here, and many of the major ones have been mentioned publicly. The others come down to a matter of common sense - you yourself said that real life takes priority, so what's the problem? Everyone here's devoting their personal free time to this thing; daily reports of "oh, so-and-so didn't work on their track today because they had a chem exam" isn't going to help things, and I doubt it's really a slight against the public or whatever to not be told of every production deal. This talk about having a "right" to know is ridiculous; we give you an overview as is, and frankly, we don't owe you a damn thing. We've given you a basic update list; just because we're not spitting out daily percentages doesn't mean that there's no progress being made. If you paid attention to the last few pages of this thread alone you'd know that there's been progress, but instead you whine about nothing having changed in months - you're wrong, simple as that.

Remember, kiddies; every time you make a baseless assumption, the project release date is pushed back another week out of spite. Think before you post.

  2. Hey snapshots, now that is an idea. I can't think of how many times I wished I could take a photo in Melee but couldn't.

Well, there was camera mode. I still have some shots saved, stuff like Peach playing golf off her castle rooftop with pokeballs/morph ball Samus, and Fox hanging from a parasol with the whole of Corneria down below...

  3. I like X better than Rock, but that's just me. The latter would probably be chosen to represent the series as a whole.

Anyway, Sonic - haha, awesome. Looks like that downward kick is from Sonic Battle even.

Green Hill Zone is an obvious choice, but I hope they go in another direction in terms of stages. Green Hill's always used (SA2 bonus stage, Sonic Advance 3's remixes, etc..), and as iconic as it is, I'd love for some other levels/music to get some love. There are a lot of neat visuals from across the series and tons of great music.

An Angel Island stage that periodically falls into the water and rises again could be fun. Rouge could run off with the emerald.

Wonder if chao will make an appearance. An angry swarm of the little guys for assist trophy?

  4. I never found the rest of the costume :(

They're gotten through Achievements. Y'know how the helicopter pilot at the start of the game mentions the town's population? The real version of the Buster is gotten by killing that number of zombies in a playthrough - 50, 000+.

  5. The greatest to me was being able to put on a Mega Man helmet and Mega Buster in the movie theater. So great.

Aw, c'mon, the real versions are better. Real Mega Buster = shiny OHKO. The boots even make the right sound when you jump.

  6. Dead Rising is awesome. Dressing Frank up hideously makes all the cutscenes worth watching again. Him trying to pin down Isabella while wearing a Servebot head is so deliciously wrong.

So, uh, anyone else hear something about Bungie separating from Microsoft?

  7. Has anyone played this Japanese rythem based game called Ouendan or it's sequel. It is a crazy amount of fun and the sound quaility isn't that bad niether. I think Elite Beat Agents was based off of it, or the other way around, or whatever.

The same team made EBA after so many people imported the original Ouendan. Instead of just doing general localization, they took it further and stylized the thing to better suit the new intended audience. Hence some of the scenarios are a bit similar. And yes, awesomeness abounds.

  8. Golden Sun? You mean that game with the most mangled Engrish in history of games? Do you mean game that? YES/NO.

You mean Breath of Fire II. Go out with your fishing lod much?

I don't really remember any "Engrish" in GS so much as that the conversations took half a century because the characters just kept reiterating the same points and going on and on about nothing (I'm looking at you, Kraden). All while bouncing and squeaking, no less.

Neat character designs, though. Wish there'd been more development.

  9. That is one of the reasons I kinda hate MC. I really liked Arbiter's story from Halo 2, & I really got into that whole rleigious war within them. Small group of people trying to consolidate power using peoples faith to bring about their own wihses. That was a good story.

I kinda wished they'd continued that story in more detail in Halo 3, instead of relegating it to a few scenes here & there. It's also why I prefer to join a campaign, instead of host one.

I don't have an actual source for this, but I've heard a lot of mention that Bungie specifically toned down the Arbiter side of things because people complained about that part of Halo 2. I thought it was a bit more interesting myself, but I've not really gotten into the series as much as the hardcore fans.

Oh, and from my understanding, MC is a super-trained hormonally-warped chemically-enhanced cyborg with uber-armour. Yeah.

  10. Meh, its not like they are gonna run out if item slots.

Random Programmer: Err... Mr.Sakurai sir, you know that online gaming thing you wanted in, well, because of the hammer we don't have enough memory, so its either the hammer or online gaming, your call.

    Sakurai: The hammer is HARDCORE.

Random Programmer: Okay, I'll go tell the online division they've been canned.

Obviously Sakurai saw this post and felt the need to let the truth be known.
