  1. However, one alternative would be to put Chrono Trigger in the name:

("Chrono Trigger: Chronicles of the Tesseract"). Something like that might reduce confusion.

Yeah, that might work. Me think of somethin'.

No matter what the result, I think it's important that Claado be the one to decide this project's name. He has, after all, put far more into this than anyone else.

    I...I have? :?

It's his baby, so let him name it. ^^

    It...it is?

  2. are you serious about the title? Take my advice and stick with simple choices such as Chrono Trigger Soundtrack. Otherwise people will not know what "Tesseracts of the Chronicles" means. Unless all the recordings tie into the title...then it's no use.

Hmm...I don't know. Relics of the Chozo, unless you're familiar with Super Metroid, means nothing. Yet they kept that there. I think it should be CT-specific without being obvious.

If anybody can think of something better, that's still like RotC and CoT, I'm up for suggestions.

  3. Uh...nope. I IMed krispy earlier this month and he said that he and GrayLightning were looking into the project more (the song they wanted was claimed), so they might not participate at all. And Unknown...no idea.

BTW, how do you guys feel about the new banner? It's preliminary, but I LOVE the font. I made the letters myself, ya know. :D

  4. Wow. Incredible stuff, seph. This is awesome.

For the battle song, it's supposed to be 2:00...could you please add a bit more to the actual fight section, something to extend that? Also, there's 7 or 8 seconds of silence at the end of your song, so you might want to chop that off.

Additionally, would you like me to put this up under a different name? "Confrontation" sounds sort of...boring. Add something like "Temporal" to the beginning of it, perhaps?

I'll also update the Inciting Incident link. Nice name on that, BTW, if I didn't tell you so.

  5. Very nice, Emperor. We could definitely work this into the movie (though the timing would have to be a bit different than I had originally planned, but that's alright).

Personally, I think the section after :50 is amazing, and would work very well with how I have this in my mind. Great work, I must say...though the harp could use a tad of reverb. That's my only problem.

As for the title sephfire...I personally like Tesseract better as well, and Chronicles of Time is redundant, as Ben said. Both "Relics of the Chozo" and "Kong in Koncert" have some game-specific flavor to them, one with a change in letters and the other with the mention of an alien race. So that's why Tesseract fits, I think.

I don't know...maybe I should just rethink the whole thing and find something more suitable, like "Chrono Symphony" or "Chrono Symphonic" or something...

  6. Very nice. I was a bit surprised at the change during the slower part in the middle, but I took to it quickly...and the ending is now much cooler, with great percussion to back up the excellent string work.

Still, I'd like to hear a 4:00 version of this more than updates to what you already have. Updates are great and all...but I think the overall structure should be completed and established first. Then make changes.

BTW, thanks for the vote of confidence on the name. I struggled over that one a bit. 8)

  7. Alright...here it is...

Chronicles of the Tesseract - A Cinematic Interpretation

EXPLANATION: The Tesseract is the place in the Chrono series where discarded timelines are sent. Something changes in time, the old dimension is tossed here and a new one is created. Since in the movie, Crono & Co. are constantly changing history, several revised timelines are made, meaning that every previous one goes to the Tesseract...meaning that the story itself is a Chronicle of the Tesseract. Every song, then, would be a way of telling that story, meaning that they, too, are Chronicles.

Also, the title is abbreviated as CoT, containing the C and T often associated with Chrono Trigger. Additionally, "Chronicles" uses the same root word as "Chrono", thus making the allusion even stronger.

The second part of the title can be discarded, but simply looking at the first part...does anybody like it? Comments?

  8. Thanks, DarkeSword. Couldn't have put it better myself...though you can tell people to shut up and I can't because you're a judge.:P

Anyway, VERY nice work, Mr. (elly)Wu. It's coming along incredibly well, I can tell you that much (and that vocal sample is well-used). I see this piece being finished by week's end. :)

Also, can you give me a definitive name to call you? I don't know if you find Mr. Wu offensive or whatever, so, uh, any hints on titles?

  9. Robo and Ayla were representatives of their respective time periods, though.

True...which is the only reason they were included in the game, so that there would be a guide of some sort in each time period to help the group. But since 65,000,000 B.C. is gone entirely, Ayla's role is wasted space. Also, I suppose you could say that 12,000 B.C., 600 A.D., and 1000 A.D. represent some sort of life, while 2300 A.D. represents death and apocalypse, which would make the need for a character representative unnecessary.

Good observation, though...for the game's purposes, Robo was a mainstay. For the movie, he isn't.

  10. Oh boy...let me guess. You didn't even read the synopsis, did you?

I'll say this one more time: Robo and Ayla were never necessary to the plot of Chrono Trigger. Robo's only contribution was cosmetic; he allowed them to access the End of Time by being the fourth party member, but with the way the script is set up, he no longer has that responsibility. And with the Dreamstone taken out of the story, Ayla's role is nonexistent as well.

I was actually thinking of having Robo be a cameo character in the movie, or some sort of portable device that Lucca finds in the future and carries with her. You know, a super-advanced PDA or something. But Ayla stays out. Period.

  11. Holy crap, dude. That's wonderful work. Very nice string work near the end, if I may say so.

BTW, may I request that when you post a WIP from SoundClick, you use the hi-fi stream address instead of the .mp3 address? If you're not a SoundClick member, you can't access the song, and since nothing's final, no downloading is necessary...just listening. I appreciate it immensely.
