Except that there's no way short of editing the rtv plugin and recompiling it to do it. And this is a core plugin, so I don't even know if the source to the plugin is available. -

Except that a majority vote can really only occur when there's only two choices. An rtv will fail if the total number of votes cast are less than a specific percentage (65% I think), so as long as at least 2/3 of people cast a vote, the vote with the highest percentage wins. Remember, this is also after the majority has already chosen to do an rtv. Incidentally, this is somewhat like how politics works in countries that have more than two major political parties. -

There is an option to toggle that, yes... but if you did that, then rtvs would almost always fail. -

I'm going to be installing the Big King map pack mentioned on the TF2 Official Blog's This point ain't gonna cap itself! post shortly. This will add the following maps: koth_garbage_day - Just like the old garbage_day with its quick cap times, but with the shiny new KOTH interface! koth_waste - Just like pl_waste, but with a point in the place of the cart's starting spot koth_harvest - Just like arena_harvest, but different mode. koth_oilfield koth_lighthouse_rc5 Uploading to the server is crawling today, it'll take at least an hour to upload all five. Edit: Server is updated Edit 2: Also updating cp_furnace to b4 -

Hmm, that's true... for yourself, but lag compensation in your opponent's favor is also a factor in TF2. -

Oh yeah, forgot to mention I updated a few maps on the server last week... pl_terran_b4b, pl_zig_z2a, cp_piratelife_b5b, ctf_cruise_b4b, and also added cp_toy_fort_alt3 (a modified version of cp_toy_fort_elite with some fixes and changes). -

On a completely unrelated subject, it might be funny to replace Quake Sounds with Kill-Streak Orgasm, which, despite the name, uses the TF2 Announcer's (unused?) arena kill streak quotes (announcer_am_killstreak01.wav - announcer_am_killstreak11.wav in the tf2 vo stuff). -

I wasn't aware that we were using any extension to modify this, rather choosing to up the the maxplayers settings (to 32, which allowed 11 player teams) while setting the visible max players to 25. -

Arena is currently ignoring the maxplayers setting in arena_config.cfg. Meaning that teams are now locked to 8 players (25/3, throwing out the remainder). As far as I know, the only fix is to set tf_arena_use_queue 0 Unfortunately, this also makes it possible to have uneven size teams. -

Have fun with that. You can have my old job! I deleted it at the same time I removed ctf_turbine from the map cycle, last night before I went to bed. As for me, I'm tired of dealing with TF2 in general and the OCR server in particular. I may return to the server occasionally, or if the classless update doesn't suck; I have very little hope for it. You can respond to this if you want, but I won't see it, as I'm now unsubscribed from this topic. -

Iiinteresting. Now, will these hats have the same billion to one drop chance as the current ones? I mean, I play 20+ hours a week and have yet to get my first hat, let alone the 9 current ones or 18 new ones. Of course, they also haven't implemented the trade system yet, so maybe we'll see that, too. -

One team had five Engineers on Turbine holding down the center area yesterday. So, yes, it was a problem. I have a day job and Turbine was the last map I played prior to going to bed. See the next section for the other half of the response to this. Apparently settings carry over to the next maps. Should be fixed next map change. Still not sure why it would stop you from having more than one, though... -

I hate to say it, but due to the mass number of people playing Engy on Turtlebine, it's now restricted to 2 per team (but only on Turbine). -

No, because the server doesn't know which class is your least played. The Steam central servers do, though. -

I've restored the old map cycle. Seriously, though, FTP clients aren't exactly hard to come by, plus I had left the old mapcycle on the server (in mapcycle.old.txt). -

I'd go with Pyros that don't spycheck, as Pyros putting out people is fairly new to the game (it arrived in Sniper/Spy update) and only works with one of the two flamethrowers. Whereas every Pyro should have been spy checking since the game came out. -

Dropping the Scoot's HP to make up for it could be a problem, though. However, Scoots die in nearly one hit anyway (almost instantly from fire), so maybe it'll work out anyway. -
