There's also SourceMod, which is supposedly the most powerful, but I have no clue how to use it.
Oh, whoops. I decided to test out Basic Admin Tool instead, because I can control its admin list from a MySQL database and thus through PHP.
-
By a mod - I use BeetlesMod on the server, so it's all handled through there.
After looking around for a bit, I stumbled across 3 addons that did reserved slots: BeetlesMod, Mani Admin, and Basic Admin Tool.
Beetlesmod doesn't seem to be actively maintained.
Mani Admin stops working nearly every time games are updated until the gametypes.txt file is replaced.
Basic Admin Tool requires that MetaMod Source be installed first.
Bleah... I can't make decisions, I'm a president! Still, Beetlesmod seems to be the easiest to install and keep running...

This may be considered double-posting, but in my defense, it's been 17 hours since I last posted...
Are reserved slots handled by a mod, or is it built in to TF2?
Due to the recently flub at The Planet, which hosts VGMusic's server, we may have substantially more bandwidth there than we used to (2.5TB instead of 1TB)... so I was thinking of setting up a game server there. Possibly TF2, possibly something else (HL2 deathmatch?), but I'm not sure how Source servers handle reserved slots.

Aw, the server kicked me off after about 20 minutes tonight due to reserve slots. Oh well, them's the breaks I guess.
Edit: It did let me back on a bit after that, though.

Alright so tomorrow, I'm going to change Badlands for Gravel Pit. We had some pretty good matches going on today, although it led to the frustration factor being high for me
. Sleazy is just too damn good.
Yay!
...I get lost way too easily on Badlands.

This is the best part about the PC version.
And this is why the game has an option to ignore people over voice chat.
Anyway, as someone who likes playing as Spy, everyone running around as Pyro is actually somewhat annoying... it's a lot easier to get hit while cloaked now, particularly on maps which are just one long narrow passage (i.e. Goldrush).

I choose Eggman.
Why? Because I use Eggman avatars everywhere else, that's why!

No worries about the images - I can use the 'trace bitmap' function in Flash. Sometimes that doesn't get ideal results though. In hindsight, 300 x 150 bitmap as the format wasn't the best idea... but I'm hopeful that we'll find a way to work around it if/when we hit problems. By all means, keep vector copies of your own stuff
I would encourage everyone to do this.
Hey, I only suggested creating thumbnails for anything larger than 350x150. I didn't think it would end up being the actual size we used for the submissions.
(I also suggested accepting SVGs)

Disclaimer: I am not by any means a regular to these boards.
To be honest, this sounds more like a vanity blog than anything that would be useful.
Have you considered just adding a profile field for blogs?

Woohoo for giving away personal information and having a chance of getting something I already own.
Then don't enter.
We toss away all the entries after the contest is done and the winner/winners is/are confirmed.
P.S. https://www.vgmusic.com/contests/giveaway11.php goes straight to the secure page.

Prior remixes are only grandfathered in if you agree to the content policy. In other words, your prior remixes are only covered by the content policy if you submit another remix and, in doing so, agree to the policy.
Ah, OK. Yeah, that does make sense then.

Have you run this by a lawyer? If not, I suggest you do.
I am not a lawyer, but number 4 is a legal landmine as it could be considered unconscionable under contract law (see Bragg v. Linden Labs).

It looks like the thread for this over on VGMusic got unstickied at some point and auto-pruned (we have autoprune times set fairly short).
Someone could recreate it over there if they wanted to.
n/m, I found it over in VGMusic's Quarantine area. I've moved it back to where it's supposed to be.

Still, perhaps this would be an opportune time to consider a redesign? I mean, the site doesn't even have a search function, or anyway to sort by anything other than system/game. It'd be a colossal undertaking to be sure, but I think it'd be worth it and might go a ways towards revitalizing the site.
A redesign has been considered, and technically one is under way.
The catch is that development has fallen behind.

That's right, good old VGMusic.com celebrates its 10th Anniversary today (December 19, 2006).
To celebrate its 10th Anniversary, we're giving one lucky winner the top 10 soundtracks on Gamemusic.com's Game Music Top-40 chart.
Giveaway ends at 2006-12-25 23:59:59 EST (one second before midnight Christmas day).
Edit: There's now a secure contest form, but you have to accept the SSL certificate for the current session.

I know I don't post on OCR much, but I have to agree with Kaleb. I tend to identify posters first by their avatar, rather than by their nick.
I know on certain other boards, people see
and know it's me.

That was before I logged in. I don't feel so bad now.
The first time I tried logging in, I got a server mismatch on cp_dustbowl.bps and had to make TF2 rescan its files.
