    2D Game Development (help!)

    So, I have a fantastic idea for a 2D platformer game and I want to begin work on it. Originally I was considering using Game Maker 7(the program that made Seiklus). Now I'm considering using one of the Clickteam products(one of which brought us Knytt).

    I really have no knowledge of programming or anything of that sort, so I think one of those sorts of programs would be best for me.

    Are there any other programs like that (especially free things!)? What's good, what sucks? What should I learn how to do?

    All advice is appreciated.

    I want to get a cheapish VC game that I can play with either the Wiimote or the GC controller that I'll get lots of bang for my buck with.

    Recommendations?

    edit: I wanted to get Comix Zone, but it's apparently annoyingly difficult. D:

    Jesus, chill. Would it be better if I didn't mention that I was a user? Or that I have an account. In my opinion, it is quite a cool site. Hell, don't even sign up or use the networking "shit" - just poke around the games section.

    uhh, this sort of sounds like spam, but it's not!

    I've been doodling around with this gamer community website that I joined, and it is realllllly cool. Think a combination of MySpace, Facebook, and XFire. It's a brilliant compendium of community and free games.

    It's my senior year and I don't think we will be doing anything. Some guys just want to give everybody a marble before graduation, and when we go up to shake the principal's hand, we hand him a marble. That would be retarded, but he would have about 1200 marbles by the end of the day if we did that...
    That would be awesome.
