Lot's of bands just can't cut it live, and Dragonforce is no different. Great to listen to on the album, but that's about it. Another prime example would be (and watch me get flamed for this) Dir En Grey. Incredible band, but Kyo needs to stop smoking like a freight train so he can not suck live. And no, screaming until you end up in the ER for inflammation of the vocal cords does not make up for it.

$3.65 would be REALLY nice about now. Last time I checked, lowest price in Louisville is $4.08.

Ok, you have forced me into something I've tried to cut down on recently, but I have no other choice... Sweet, merciful, FUCK that was incredible! Epic work, new direction, and just enough of the original melody to keep you from getting lost. I've listened to this many, MANY times over the past several days, and it gives me goosebumps every single time. Awesome job! =)

As with many others, I did not know Reuben personally. However, I have always loved music and have thoroughly enjoyed listening to his work. The level of dedication and care put into each piece allowed Reuben's passion for music to show and be experienced by a community spanning the entire globe. To lose such a talent is to lose a part of this community's very soul. My thoughts and prayers, along with those of many others, are with you in this time of sorrow. May you find some small comfort in having your grief shared by so many, and through that, may it be easier to bear. May you also take great pride in knowing that, although he will be dearly missed, Reuben has enriched the lives of people the world over with his talent, his creativity, and his ambition.

The scary thing is, I was just reading through this thread thinking, "I wonder why nobody has mentioned First Contact yet?" and then I stumble upon that post. I'll chime in with my agreement on that, however. It's an absolutely amazing piece of work, and the main theme comes across beautifully without reeking of "this was written for Star Trek", making it something that sounds at home almost anywhere. Not really a movie, but the score for Blood+ is insanely good. Slightly derivative of Crimson Tide in places, but Mark Mancina and Hans Zimmer do an outstanding job on both.

Got a pair of Sony MDR-V600's, and they absolutely rock. I know a few people have complained about their durability, but I've had mine for several years now and they're still in excellent condition.

Let me just say that I usually dislike techno. However, I love Suikoden, so I gave this a shot. WOW is all I can say. Techno isn't my thing, but DAMN this is good stuff.
