  1. How else would I get to enjoy the likes of Panzer Dragoon Saga, Astal Stellar Assault SS, Vampire Savior (better than the arcade versions), Thunder Force V (better than PS1 version), and other classics? Yeah, it's not the easiest system to start getting games for, as the prices have gone up a lot. But I guess that's the advantage of buying the games back when they were affordable at EB, Gamestop, Toys R Us, High Voltage (mail order place... had great prices), and them. My original Dreamcast is still going strong, thankfully. **knocks on wood like a mother fucker**
  2. Still got mine (though really, it's my second Saturn, since the first one died).
  3. I get the feeling they're really pumped about Dog of Sports TV.
  4. Maybe XBox One won't crap out instantly, but as you said, there are PC games that stop dead in their tracks if the connection dies. Frankly, that it's being done at all, on any level, is complete and utter nonsense. It's just different levels of corn-laden shit being flung at the paying customers by the screaming monkeys that run these companies as they pretend to see, hear and speak no evils.
  5. I've never understood why people are OK with (or even fully back) "always online." Having to check in once every 24 hours just so I can play the game I legally bought for $60? Having your game stop because your connection crapped out? Finding out you can't play your game because the servers it needs to connect to are down/gone? I see no upside to this for consumers. Only needless hassles.
  6. Rob Zombie - "Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor" (album)

  8. A band called "The Altered Beasts," with cover art quite reminiscent of that classic Sega arcade game, made a remix album which doesn't feature a remix from Altered Beast. ... I... um... ... **walks off mumbling**
  9. Wow. Overgeneralized hyperbole much? Who the hell do you hang out with?
  10. There are plenty to rattle off in terms of a woman that you have to rescue, or one playing tag along. I just hope the delay is because Anita's trying to find actually sexist/toxic examples this time.
  11. That the trope is a lazy writer's overused cliche is what's real. Specific examples of the trope can be sexist if you can show malice and subversive intent with how a female character is portrayed in the form of actions, writing and so forth, but the trope itself is only a simplistic plot device. And when it comes to using examples of the trope to make her argument regarding its toxicity and sexism, Anita used a fair number of poor ones to back her up, because those games' very stories contradicted her whole "the women are objects/balls to be gotten back like property" argument. Anita can't toss out a story so something fits her view on the subject being discussed, because it undermines the research she supposedly did, and makes the viewer wonder what else is wrong/off with what she put forth. By the way, it's been a month and a half. Where's part two? Unless she's going apeshit with After Effects, it seems like it should have been done by now.
  12. Actually, that would be the diaper.
  13. Posted on my birthday. As I said, it's clear that it's edited together using voice samples, loops and looping, and likely some pitch tweaks, but it still sounds cool to hear it all being done with a human voice instead of synths, acoustic/electric instruments, and such.
  14. Thanks, on both counts :-)

  15. Thanks chimpazilla.

  16. I've tried a few speedruns for the hell of a number of years ago. Nothing too drastic (no long RPGs or anything), but just seeing how fast I could get through Shadow of the Beast, The Terminator, and games like that, which are generally short to begin with. Yeah, no records were smashed, but I still did pretty well in getting both games beaten in under 15 minutes (Terminator), and a little over that (SotB).
  17. Heh, thanks jmr :-)

  18. The results come back, and it consists of only a link to this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qsTRq_tQSE
