  1. Famicompo Mini Classical results are in! A bunch of #mod_shrine guys made a s3m-to-nsf converter and kicked some Japanese ass. Reduz [Juan Linietsky] won both the Covers and Originals categories.
  2. Scene's back up, the links should work for this kahvi release now.
  3. New ansiform: <li class="release">ansi034) ] cloudsurf [10.0 MB | 10:30] "cloudsurf" is a patient and placid exploration of repetition, variation, and texture. music for airports, one might say... or maybe airplanes?
  4. Actually I think I might extend this tune a little bit you can all have the short version for now :3
  5. http://soundtempest.net/soc/single/oc-brokendolls.mp3 I forgot what kind of music you call this. Well, it's kind of dark and depressing, but what do I make that isn't? haev funz
  6. Finally, a new kahvi release. Yay! The links all 404 for some reason but they should be back online soon. Scene.org is down
  7. http://mp3.ziphoid.com/Blaizer_-_StarStruck.mp3 Finally found a version cut up for standalone musical enjoyment. If you don't know what this is, you've been living under a rock . Here's TBL's winning Amiga demo from Assembly 2006 on youtube: Unfortunately, the song rip also includes the mecha sound effects and glass breaking noise from the [obligatory] namedrop section. Still a badass tune though. It's pretty much like The Crystal Method stylistically, but uhh... a lot better, IMO
  8. It's going to be really obvious in use, just like dBlue Glitch I think. If you use Renoise like me you hardly need to worry about that kind of stuff. You don't need VSTs to help you glitch stuff, it's really easy just to do it natively in the program. Almost like it was built FOR Venetian Snares
  9. Well, a few things: -don't expect all those sounds to work through your MIDI cable, all that can send is note/pitch/misc data, no audio. -Your built-in speakers are useless unless you wanna jam without loading FL -you can record the audio part of your keyboard with FL [the 200 tones part] if you have the right cords and inputs
  10. just use iZotope Vinyl within Winamp if you want to pretend it's 1975
  11. Copied from http://aodix.com/ So yeah, the music world just lost a big developer He was behind NoiseTrekker, Psycle, DirectWave, Stardust, Aodix, FL Studio, and countless other cool things. It's horrible he had to die so young, but the fact that he has still left us with so much deserves great respect. RIP
  12. Hey Martin... http://www.yomirecords.com/music/botb/botb_-_clockwork_samurai_xl.mp3 He just extended it to 37 minutes
  13. Oh also, here's a dj mix thingie featuring ansiform songs with m... err, the latest ansiform release.
  14. Holy shit, ansiform, the anonymous ambient netlabel, is back in business! With an unusual release that doesn't sound anything like the older tracks. It's still ambient, but there's like... melody? If there are any ambient [and I mean, ambient ambient] fans here, this netlabel is for you.
  15. Hey wow, new maktone chips!
  16. Guess what? It's demotune hosting time! elusive-suicidebarbie.mp3 - 8.5mb little bitchard - aliens ate my demomaker.mp3 - 4.3mb VR78f.mp3 - 7.4mb [little bitchard & 1in10 - 1995] They're all dancey club tunes, a bit cheesy at times but really pro and fun to listen to. Here's the demos they're from, respectively: [contains 3D polygonal bewbs] [contains major seizurefest] [contains major awesome]
  17. skifree download it here: http://ski.ihoc.net/
  18. The Audigy 2 ZS will give you okay latency. NOT okay in a professional environment, but good enough for one midi controller and some techno. It won't give you anything useful in terms of live audio recording. also yeah if you're looking for a new one, check that thread.
  19. They're okay, but the amount of options for rendering is severely limited.
  20. You can ask on Community for types of songs you're looking for, and get recommendations. Those don't count as "favorites" threads.
  21. I have no idea what songs you're talking about, but it's probably a vocoder (^∇^)
