MORELIEK I GET EQUIPPED WITH ITEM 3, PRETZEL'S MOM Right off the bat, I like the sparse, squarey-triangly groove of the piece. It reminds me a bit of the Katamari soundtracks that pay homage to the old school with new world technologies. GameBox keeps it light and airy with an odd... sentimentality? I don't know, but it has a definite emotional slant to it, which is nice. And some very nice, unique transitions. I think I'm most impressed with the arrangement. It's airy and clean without sounding too sparse. There's just the right amount of *stuff* to get you going to the next *stuff*. ...think about it YES

Shaka - Hatchi! *crazy Chinese flute sound* Gray, master of En Passant and King's Gambit, is right in siting the dramatic overuse of the *Waaadooooooooowwwww* effect. I wasn't a fan of how the percussion overpowered the main flute in the beginning. Nor was I a fan of the bridge section where it's just drums and a bass for a rather disconcerting amount of time. But there is a nice texture here, phrasing, and some competant arrangement. The good stuff edges out the bad, but this is one of the rarer borderline YES's from me.

You'll be *elated* to know that on Twisting Nether, a realm barely out of its 48th hour infancy, there are reprots of 20's prowling around. Still, it's nice/bizzare leveling up and seeing a billion people in starting zone quest areas. For example, flying by griffon from Stormwind and looking down to see 2 dozen people (at least) slaughtering gnolls near the Westfall edge. I forsee good times!

On its own merits, this gets a critical hit sort of YES. But with such radical liberties taken with the source, it has become in fact, an original piece. And that, we simply cannot abide by. So, judging by the talent already overflowing from the creator, it should not be a Herculean task to ask him to rewrite the song as per the original.
