I like the texture of sound being used. I also appreciate that you put some tempo changes in there so it's not all manic J-pop. But I wasn't so keen on the chime/xylo lead. It just felt out of place given all the technophilic background texture. Also, by the tale end of the song, you are desperately ready for another type of sound. I'm also with Malcos on the repetition, though that might be a factor of the genre (in which case, let's start the Techno flame warzz). But, for the moment, let's assume that the author could add some more variation, and let us also assume that the piece would be better for it. Also, and this might be just me, some of the high notes seemed to high to the point of being piercing. Look into that. NO -More variation -change lead

I was feelin' it. The groove that some consider (perhaps rightly so) as ponderous, I just see and feel as different. There's a lot of fun creativity going here, and I think it translates well to the ear. It's different, while having the benefit of sounding like it's not trying too hard to be different. A sort of unique effortlessness. I'm down widdit YES

I didn't have as much of a problem with the violin as larry, but I most definitely see how it will be a problem for everyone else. I would suggest a gradual fadeout or a more subtle presence. Also, the heartbeat doesn't really serve a purpose, or put another way, it detracts too much to be included. I really enjoy the atmosphere poured into this piece. There's a depth of emotion you don't normally hear [around here]. It gets the ethnic flavor down, doesn't make any glaring mistakes. Oh unreal... how I have endorsed thy franchise from late '97 to the tournament years well unto the next-gen! Sadly, I've loved Unreal for so long, I can hardly remember what the source toon sounded like. Let's assume, but for a moment, that there are no issues in carbon-copying and that there is a delightful balance between artist additions and source foundation. There's some nice EQ work between the drums and melodic instruments. The grove is certainly listenable and foot-tappable. But I'm with Larry in that there are parts that feel either too hollow, or too repetative. I'm especially concerned with the second half, which is a verbatim repeat of the first half. This is that part where you should, as Puff Daddy sez, rock the vote. The second half is in dire need of variation or development or evolution or something. This is essentially, it's a 2 minute song, times two. And a fade out ending? You die, Joe. NO More development More variation
