I haven't played the DS games yet, but I am of the opinion that the GBA remakes are a great place to start
I wasn't sure if those were remakes or not, but if I can track them down, I'll give them a shot, if that's the one people keep suggesting (not that your opinion doesn't count).

So I've never played Pokemon, like, ever. Sure, I've played bits and pieces of one or two of them, not much.
I'm thinking I may finally give one a shot. So, I'm wondering, which game would be a good one for a noob to start off with? The new DS games? The remake of the original two for the GBA? The original GBA games?
Would the recent one or the new one coming out be a good place to start?
Yeah, not the most interesting topic to post I know, but I'm doing a Pokemon image on my computer right now and just thought I'd ask.

I have visited beautiful Commodore, PA along Route 286. And the highway that stretches between Arizona and North Carolina is Route 64.
I will buy California Games on C64 the first day it comes out on the VC, which is more than I can say for Earthbound.
Is this hatred for Earthbound as the cool kids call it, in?
Guess I'm a square then.
I wouldn't mind trying some Commodore 64 games though...

What he said. And believe me, this is no where near as bad as when Cuddly Pyramid Head and Firedrake thought the ruled the roost here.
Just take the criticism good and bad, and learn from it. If it's a first video, I understand, there is room for improvement, but hey, anything art related can always be better, at least that's the way I feel with my artwork...

I thought the video was weak, honestly. It's just not very good, for reasons already mentioned. Don't doubt there's energy behind it, but that doesn't make it good. We've all gotta start somewhere, so this doesn't preclude making better videos in a few years time.

it's going to be an XBLA game, so it'll be cheap...and it already looks AMAZING. the amount of work that's already gone into it is immense.
How are these XBLA games? I saw a few, but I wasn't too sure about getting one when I was still playing XBOX live...

Excellent Game! The Soundtrack is also really fun. Anybody on the fence NEEDS to buy this game so that XSEED will be encouraged to bring over the sequel.

My father had a rather sizable record collection. It was about twenty or so of those cardboard storage boxes, filled with records.
I think it was numbered somewhere in the 500 or so range. They're still in the old house somewhere.

I wouldn't mind having some vinyl records. From what I've heard it's starting to become a niche market. I've seen Best Buy and Hot Topic in my area sell vinyls of different albums (most recently Chinese Democracy, Gorrilaz D Days, and Linkin Park Minutes to Midnight, but that's all I've noticed).
