  1. I agree about the snails pace, but it seems like he sped the film up. This is just a fan edit, there's hundreds of them. And in some cases, it's actually made some films better...
  2. I agree that there probably wasn't a need to put the music in, I thought it was kind of neat though. But overall, I'm eager to see what this guy is doing to Empire, and Jedi. Maybe he'll do the prequels next. But the Phantom Edit is the definitive cut of Episode I. Not to mention Attack of The Phantom, aka Episode II.
  3. I'm not one to start talking about Star Wars, or the original trilogy for that matter, mostly because I didn't grow up with it (grew up with the Prequels). But I still enjoy all of them. So, didn't like the 2004 DVD edits of the original Star Wars Trilogy did you? Well, you're in luck. One man, has gone through EXTENSIVE care (2 years!!!), and has redone Episode IV: A New Hope. Sure, some changes are not significant, you probably won't notice all of them, but this guy has done the ultimate fan service that Lucas didn't. Example... He added the Anakin vs. Obi Wan music from Episode III, fixed the Sabers colors (Vader's is no longer Pink, and the flashes aren't yellow looking splotches), and the Tie Fighter dog fight has a more intense feel... A cut scene he did himself, and would have been interesting to see, if not funny for the Jar Jar haters... This link is his current work in progress, The Empire Strikes Back Massive Color Correction. Eliminating a lot of the blue effect. Honestly, that really didn't bug me. Neither did the whole Green tinting to the Dagobah shots in the old edition. Notice the small touches to Yoda's mouth, to make it seem that he's saying the lines... Easy to find A New Hope re-edited, just look on bit torrent sites, they're bound to have them. But make sure you at least have the original DVD copies, the guy who did this pleads with all the ones that get this. And I hope I don't sound like a walking ad here...
  4. You know, Wario Land Shake It! was okay, but honestly, I didn't really like the whole shaking the wiimote thing. I'm waiting for Deadly Creatures, I want to give that game a go through.
  5. Yeah, I remember that too. That's probably a better one to go with than my stuff.
  6. I really don't know about this movie, honestly, I could care less. I've seen Cowboy Bebop from start to finish. I hated the ending, I felt like I wasted my time watching it. It was a well made anime, I love the music, and it's overall style. But I just don't care for that ending. This is just my opinion on it, you don't have to like it. In regards to Shia Lebouf? I really hope he calms down the amount of movies he's in, he's gonna turn into Samuel L. Jackson, and what I mean by that, is that he'll be in every single film he can get his hands on, and just slowly become an irritant to cinema. Neither are bad actors, but they really need to just slow it down. Then again, that's really the media's fault of overexposure I guess. I guess the easiest way to not support this movie would be to not see it right? And, ah forget it. Cause honestly, unless it looks interesting, I'd rather just pay a buck to rent it.
  7. Well guys, I tried to do the beach, and I couldn't get it to come together they way I think it should be, so I don't think I should be the one to do that. I'll try to do the banner, and the logo though. Sorry, I don't mean to drop from that, but I'm just not that good with backgrounds, I'll need practice on this for a while before I can make something special for you guys (Gimp is starting to show it's limits), so if it's possible, you think you guys may have someone who can do the back cover justice?
  8. Oh well. Hollywood is out of ideas these days. Because now they've shifted from comics, to Saturday kid's shows from the 80's/90's, Video Games (until they get it right), and now anime. Honestly, I hated the ending to Cowboy Bebop's final episode. The series as a whole was good (I loved the music, every bit of it), but I felt like I was punched in the gut with the conclusion being what it was. I honestly don't care that they're doing a Bebop movie. All I can say is good luck to the company trying to pass that title off to movie goers unfamiliar with the Anime. I'm just curious who could play Lupin the 3rd, or Vash the Stampede for that matter.
  9. I would kind of like to keep the owl the size that he is, if I make him bigger, then it might look awkward. Then the sword wouldn't be as visible at the bottom, at least that's my opinion. And yeah, I'll try to do a beach image, that'll take time since I was never that great with backgrounds. And the stylized cover, I'll give it a shot.
  10. Yeah, I'll crop off that side, and as far as the owl goes, I know Kapora is really big, at least in Ocarina he is. But I'll shorten the handle a bit more. But right now, I've gotta get off this computer, and get to the gym. Haven't been in like a week or more (that, and I'm tired of sitting in this apartment).
  11. Boo ya! Or as Mario would say.. "Hee Hee Igot-et!" Yeah, epic fail I know....
  12. Hey! That looks great! I redid Kapora, with more of a sketchy feel... hopefully this nails it now.... Might need some adjustments, let me know what you think...
  13. Hmm, back to the drawing board. I'll adjust the rain on the owl (so it doesn't look like he's been crapped on), and change up the rain some more.
  14. Alright, done some tweaking, final inks, rain effects, now I need to get a better background (or maybe a variant color), do some lighting effects, and well, you guys take a look and see what you like...
  15. To be totally honest, I'd really like to contribute art for the cover of the album. That's what I thought I was doing at first. I'm not trying to backpedal here, I want to contribute in any possible way. I've mooched off this site long enough (5 years is long enough). I want to be a part of a project at least once. Plus, maybe this is my small, small step into doing larger things in a possible future project. So if it's okay, can I do this image, and you guys decide what to do with it? If you guys like it, then by all means use it. If not, then at least I've learned more of Gimp, as well as using a pen tablet.
  16. I remember him in Planet of The Apes 3 (Escape) and 4 (Conquest) (neither one was that bad either).
  17. Ah, I see, thanks for helping me with the detail there. Never noticed that owls perch like that. I'll extend the handle. Like I said, this is a work in progress. I don't know how much more with the lack of expertise in Gimp (or Photoshop/Corel Painter 9) will take me, but hey, that's why I've got the net to research it all. I'll extend the sword, push his feet closer, and get the details going on it. That'll probably be a couple of hours. Which probably means I'll be up a while or you'll see it tomorrow. So, were you guys wanting me to do the art for the website? Um, to be honest, I wouldn't know where to start with that, and two, what would it entail for me to do? I'll check some of the other projects here for research on it.
  18. I thought about how that sword is going to be in relation to Kapora Gabora (the Owl, I know I didn't spell it right). But, I just don't think it would look right if he was perched on the arcs of the sword. Maybe if I have him on sort of perched on it, with his foot on one side of the handle (like a parrot will do climbing down a pole.
  19. Well, that's supposed to be part of his "beard", eek, I'll need to make that more apparent.
  20. I'll cook something up. As far as a webpage goes... That's up to the web masters here, I have no skill in that whatsoever.
  21. So what style is this remix? Link's Awakening is more akin to calmer more like what I call relaxation music. I'm just trying to get an idea. I just would like to do a cd cover if that's what you would want.
  22. Okay folks, here's what I've got so far... I'll try to critique it, but can you guys give me plenty of opinions on it? It helps me tremendously.
  23. Darn it. I was going to ask the same thing... I'll be glad to do an alternate CD cover if you guys like...
  24. Ahh, I see, well, that clears things up quite a bit. Well, I'm not so good with that sort of style, but I'll try another image. I'll be honest, I've not played this game before, so this is a bit uncharted territory for me (I understand the premise, the story and some of the characters), so if you'd rather have someone else do the artwork for it, I'll understand. I just had an idea, the owl sitting on links sword in the ground, while the rain pouring down on him. What do you think?
  25. Now I'm starting to feel the pressure to make my stuff good. Ugh, I hope I meet the expectations...
