  1. Yeah, the remastered tunes that I've heard are pretty cool, but unfortunately, I don't have those soundtracks (just what I've heard off of Youtube). I've seen a number of Zero tunes covered in midi form (although not really remixes), esp. at VGMusic, but midi can only sound so good on MSGS. They do have Cold Smile and a couple of Powdery Snow though.
  2. Sorry for having the make another thread, but I thought it better than trying to tack it onto a previous one. I'd like to request some remixes from the GBC game Shantae. Seriously, Jake Kaufman did some awesome work on this game and anything from the game would be appreciated. I would like to point out a particular few I'd like the most though: Dribble Labyrinth and Cackle Mound (first dungeon tune) Overworld Daytime - Tune 1 Overworld Nighttime - Tune 2 Final Battle Aftermath - Volcano Escape Cutscene(s): Burning Scuttle Town Aftermath / Mayor's Thanks / Mimic's Legend (this is a single tune; multiple locations) Bandit Town [edit]Had a couple numbers wrong on the list. Again, hearing anything would be cool, but I'd appreciate these even more. Btw, I already know about Suzumebachi's awesome Harbor Town "Harborage" remix, so no need for a redirect there.
  3. Seconded. The music in that game is seriously tweaked out. Although it'd be great to hear see anything from the game hit the archive, I'd like to personally put my vote in for the following: Jurassic Dope - plays when you're talking to the bookie in the secret area The Foggy Cave in the Darkness - one of the latter levels; can't remember which path Gtr Attack! - plays during the fight with the long spindly droid; also in the fight with the weird 3-piece robot The Dawn - the ending where the general escapes (pursue Dead-Eye Joe, fight the Doctor)
  4. Actually, there are really three tunes embedded in that part of the game - The Orb and the Moon, The Transformation Sequence, and The Final Battle - but the latter two usually get lumped together due to their proximity and use in the same scene. I find it odd that the Transformation Sequence wasn't included in the remixes nor lumped into the End Battle tune at XOC (the latter being the more sensible option). Cool remixes though. I don't know about kirby.ocremix.org since the links are broken (or at least they are on my computer). Also, is it me or do the GBA Nightmare in Dreamland versions seem a little more appealing for the most part. I love the original game and its tunes, but I personally prefer the GBA remixes. Any chance someone might do some remixes that sound a feel a little more like those versions sometime? [looks around hopefully]
  5. I know that there are a number of tunes from the Zero series that'd make for some sweet remixes, but there are two in particular I'd like to hear. The first is Old Life Space, which plays in the Old Residential Area of Zero 3 (Deathtanz Mantisk's stage). The second would be the Sand Triangle tune which plays in the Forest of Dysis (Hyleg Ourobuckle's stage) in Zero 2.
  6. Ditto. I'd also love to hear a remix of the Critical (Danger) theme from Flare's Stage (the Panel de Pon side) - that tune was wicked cool. [edit] I almost forgot. You could find a bunch of midis in the S-Z section of VG Music's SNES section (scroll down past the first few Tetris titles). Not all of the tunes have been covered there yet, but quite a few have. Naturally, midi quality isn't always the greatest, but at least it's something... until we get some more remixes here, that is.
  7. Honestly, I'm shocked that this game doesn't get more love. For sure, the game itself is kinda goofy, but the soundtrack itself is pure gold. I'd like to see some more remixes than just Scuttle Town, but that'll definitely more than do for now. =D Anyway, I personally think that a great deal of chiptune use depends on the taste of the user, but in general, I'd say the chiptune sounds are frequently overused. However, I must admit that I just love this remix to death (yes, I'm a chiptune lover). The chiptune itself blends in with the rest of the instrumentation quite beautifully. Btw, that part near the end starting at 0:53 is absolutely killer! You simply have to love that high whine. *grins ear-to-ear* Now all this baby needs is a little more tacked on to the end. Seriously, it leaves you hanging there way to hard to just end it on a dime like that.
  8. It's good to see this game getting some love (and I love this remix too ), but I thought I might mentioned that this isn't really just Wave 6. Wave 2 and Wave 6 of the Bravo and Tango Sectors (can't remember the Outer Regions) play the exact same music, but even though there are bits of it here and there, it isn't the melody near the beginning of the piece. In fact, the main melody for the first two minutes or so is actually Bravo Sector - Wave 4 (which also happens to be one of the few unique-to-level tunes in the game, FYI). It doesn't really hit Waves 2 & 6 as a genuine part of the main melody until about 2:14 and then it just runs with it.
  9. Well...not technically a sonata by its form, but that's hardly anything to hold against this magnificent piece. Once again, McVaffe's accute sense of piano style puts this at the top. Whether you're a MegaFanatic like me or not - or the kind of person who does or doesn't listen to or mind classical music - it's undeniable that McVaffe is a very skilled musician, and this tune proves it. With the light opening, fluid melody, and the occasional, light-hearted jest, this should be required listening for both the OCREMIX enthusianist and the musically-inspired. I honestly don't think I can garnish enough praise on it , especially since so many of the Mega Man games are regularly riddled with accompanying techno-beats whose remixes don't stray very far from the original (despite the wealth of excellent remixers like DiscoDan, AE, etc.). McVaffe really went above and beyond with this one. BTW, if you find this to your liking you also might want to check out McVaffe's MM3 Gemini Salsa remix of Gemini Man's stage.
