Devyn
Yeah, I know. Like, what am I thinking? Well, I thought about making a CD full of the best aquatic-sounding music I know about. Of course, OCRemix has a good deal of it, and I plan on putting some of that on the CD (or maybe 2 CDs). That led me to the thought that there's probably lots of good water-sounding techno, trance, and house music out there. But I don't know about much of it. I'm mostly a rock and metal guy. So, I was wondering if you could give me recommendations. Lyric and instrumental recommendations are welcome, and the typical theme is water, oceans, beaches - I think you get the idea. Relaxing stuff is good, and so is upbeat major-key stuff. Well?
friendlyHunter
Don't worry, I don't think it's a favourites thread http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01234/ Earthbound - Dreaming on Distant Shores http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01632/ A DKC1 underwater remix is a must! There was a much more "aquatic" one over at VGMix 2, but it seems to be gone now... http://smproject.ocremix.org/files.html#Joel - Track 13 (Maridia 2) - this one's a lot different and not so electronic... more "hauntingly beautiful" than anything, it might not fit... [Edit] Looking at the thread title now, it almost positively won't fit =[ http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01507/ Torvus Clockwork Why are you compiling this by the way? The Pezman
You would be remiss not to include .
Devyn
Nah, this is a recommendation thread, not a favorites thread. I already plan on putting DKC underwater on it. I can't listen to anything right now because I'm at work without headphones (just IPod with short headphones). I'll check out that possible weirdness above me in a minute. Palpable
You'll almost certainly not want to use this, but hell, it is themed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDErgD9YNyc

CC Ricers
You should check out Hallucinogen in Dub. Hallucinogen is a psy-trance artist, but his works have been remixed into reggae-like dub in this album. It's not fast-paced stuff but it's electronic and has that "tropical" ocean vibe. Samples are found here. http://www.junodownload.com/products/1203570-02.htm
Kenobio
You probably have these, but... http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01242/ 'Beneath the Surface' by Vigilante http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR00150/ 'RiverOfTime AmIEvil' by AmIEvil Edit: Not house or trance but very relaxing!
