DarkeSword
Let's see... Atomic Robo is a must get. In fact while you're there just buy all six issues of it. Or wait for the trade. In any case it's a fantastic comic from the writer of 8-bit Theatre. Tiny Titans is very fun too even though it's aimed at kids. It's one of my monthly buy books. The All-Star Superman has already achieved a legendary status among fans, so if that's more your taste, hit that. And yes, of course it's free sample day! It's to get people into the comic shops to check out what's going on. In that vein, if you've got 50 cents to spare, I recommend picking up DC Universe #0, which is sort of a preview/teaser of major storylines that DC comics is going to do in the next two years like Final Crisis, Batman: RIP, Wonder Woman: Whom the Gods Have Forsaken, Green Lantern: Blackest Night, etc. It's a full-sized issue and not a bad deal for 2 quarters. Eulogic
I couldn't get there until late last year, so I missed out on all the good stuff. I'll try and hit it up early tomorrow.
Vivi22
I'd be there right now if it weren't for flooding resulting in the power being off downtown. I doubt that they're open, and even if they are they'll probably not get many people, so I expect they'll reschedule for next Saturday. Living near a river sucks in the spring sometimes. Dhsu
I picked up Atomic Robo, All-Star Superman, and Sonic the Hedgehog since Tiny Titans was out. There was also a guy there doing art requests, and I asked him if he could draw Naruto yaoi for me. His wife didn't think it was funny. :[
Eulogic
Phil Hester (one of my favorite artists) was at a store a few hours away, but I'm too lazy.
JH Sounds
I remember my local shop dropping those 50 cent comics to free, as well as giving away used comics that were usually under a dollar on other days. Too bad I've caught a bit of a fever and can't go.
jayc4life
My local retailer isn't doing this, he says that the shop'll get looted (because it's in the middle of a shopping centre) and the regulars will be left with nothing good left by the time they get in (assuming they're not queueing at 7AM )
