MaxFrost
another vote for Sins of a Solar Empire here. If you like Ages of Empires, you'll love this, same sort of style as it. If you like fast paced like SC, go with Dawn of War 1 or
1337 1
Sins of a Solar Empire is a great game; I often have a game running in the background while I'm doing work or assignments
Flash Strife
Yeah, seriously, I did. Yes, I know it has to be seen to be believed. So go play it. I agree with Miguel. Also GrimGrimoire was made by the guys who did Odin Sphere and Muramasa, so go check it.
Flare4War
I used to play Age of Empires II, and C&C all the time. Those really the only ones I ever got into.
The Coop
For something a little different, try out Total Annihilation: Kingdoms and the grand daddy of the RTS, Herzog Zwei.
Scufo
Sins is a total snoozefest.
RedFusion
Is this game worth buying? I remember back in the day it was like the very first indie game through steam, or at least the first important one and everyone made a big deal out of how it was going to change the landscape of downloadable gaming. Check out the demo I guess. I saw it on sale once, tried the demo, but it didn't do it for me. Oh, I'll put up a vote for Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance (spiritual successor to TA), if you have the computer to run it. It's got a very popular and well-done AI mod for it (the creator of the AI mod actually ended up being hired by GPG themselves!). Anyway it's called Sorian AI mod, and finished at v2.0.0, probably because the creator himself had to move on to work on Supreme Commander 2 heh.
