jmr
http://wardriver.thasauce.net/releases/war005 My first original EP, entitled 'Through The Ringer' was just released on Wardriver: ThaSauce. It's a fair bit different than my more recent work, mainly due to the fact it was sequenced and mixed entirely using my cell phone while my laptop was in for repairs. You can download it for FREE from Wardriver:ThaSauce. A FLAC version is going to be going up in the near future as well. Let me know what you think! OverCoat
Cool idea! Very reminiscient of transient's sounds from my pocket, where he makes music using Bhajis Loops for Palm OS. Actually a pretty great album, you should check it out. Also everything else transient has ever done :3 Glad to see Wardriver still exists too. Meteo Xavier
Winamp won't let me hear the album and I can only listen to one track. That track is ok (I don't believe for a moment you produced it on your cell phone ), but it's hard to judge the entire EP on that one, half decent track. Unless you'd like me to. Skrypnyk
Glad to see Wardriver still exists too. This. The sounds quality reminds me of SAW 85-92, that rather dated 808 sound. Also I like the idea of creating something using the cellphone (or some other not-so-practical device). A fun lil' experiment.
Ramaniscence
Winamp won't let me hear the album and I can only listen to one track. That track is ok (I don't believe for a moment you produced it on your cell phone ), but it's hard to judge the entire EP on that one, half decent track.Unless you'd like me to. That's....strange. If anyone else has this problem, let me know. In the meantime, you can get it here: http://wardriver.thasauce.net/albums/war005_jmr-throughTheRinger/ Also: More updates from and about Wardriver soon. jmr
(I don't believe for a moment you produced it on your cell phone )Seriously. The entire thing was made using a sequencer I found online.Every song consists of three basic 2xOsc synths ran through very simplistic reverb, delay, and distortion effects. I used the stock drum sounds as well (it was hard enough to download the program over the cell network, let alone additional samples). The only part that was made outside of that program was the intro to the first song (but even that is a recording of the song playing as a ringtone) and the transition between tracks two and three (I added a touch of distortion and filtered white noise). Meteo Xavier
Fair enough. For an album produced entirely on a cell phone, I doubt I could hear anything better than this. Good job!
JH Sounds
Somehow I failed to notice pun of the title until just now.
Level 99
This is sexy! I'll have to listen this week and give my feedback (read: tear it apart limb from limb until you're left in a cold, crying mess of tears and shame)
