zircon
Pestilence, Soul Reaper, Fayde, Forsaken, Gladiator and Moraxus in trash tier? Really? According to recent competitive match stats, those are slightly off: http://honmatch.com/hero_use The heroes that really win games are, apparently, Pollywog Priest, Ophelia, Witch Slayer, Keeper, Revenant and Gladiator. The popular picks that DON'T win games include Kraken, Aluna, Soulstealer, Chipper and Puppet Master.
Tensei
E: those tiers say nothing about 1500~ mmr range though. Gladiator, Dampeer and Flux are all awesome. E2: Female scout says this: "If you want to play me as designers intended, only lvl up my 1st, 3rd and 4th skill. Leftover points go to stats" E3: The Nyan Cat courier is amazing. The song doesn't play unfortunately.
Capa Langley
So how broken does a hero have to be before S2 sees it? And attempt to adjust it? YEAH S2 RUN UP CLIFFS!
Ajax
Their response is usually to just continue releasing more broken heroes to level the playing field.
zircon
What do you mean by 'broken'? Balance-wise or engine stuff? I actually agree with them not doing major balance changes constantly. In most competitive games it's better to let things play out for awhile and see what people do as opposed to continuously nerfing, buffing and tweaking. Let people try to deal with new heroes first. Remember Electrician in his old form, a hero considered trash tier until people discovered how to use him, after which he became godly OP? Tensei
I'm sure he was being at least partially facetious. That said, there is supposedly an exploit with the Monkey King alt skin that allows you to Vault three times.
Tensei
For everyone who missed that WHP5 vs xFin game yesterday.
Ajax
Yeah, I am just being facetious, but I do tend to find that S2 is more willing to er on the side of being overpowered when they roll out new heroes, with the intent of eventually nerfing/tweaking/balancing them after the community have had time to adjust. Dhsu
For everyone who missed that WHP5 vs xFin game yesterday. Haha nice. BTW if you wanna ROFL check out 59019029 and fast forward to the end.
Capa Langley
THIS had me giggling. "seriously though I'm glad I got to try League of Bads, now all my arguments vs LoL will be valid. Well made casual game, donkeyshit competitive game. There is only one way this game can be played at top level and that is passive farm-lane-entire-game, with its metagame heavily reliant on a stupid free blink that probably plagued that game since the beginning of time." Tensei
Having played a bunch of Silhouette and Tremble recently, I realized that another thing I really miss in LoL is genuinely controllable minion micro. Farming two different lanes with Tremble/Shudder is just so cool. That said, Silhouette and Rhapsody are probably the most OP heroes at the moment. Nase
why do you guys care about those tier lists that much? face it, no one of you is anywhere near a competitive level. rampage is still god tier until about 1700 mmr as far as i'm concerned :>
Tensei
Rampage IS god tier. So are Kraken, Tree, Rhapsody and Silhouette. I think it has a lot to do with how crazy good Sol's Bulwark is nowadays.
Dhsu
So I keep forgetting that the Energizer is in the game. Any hero this is core or just even pretty good on?
Tensei
Nope. It's okayish on agility heroes that want unitwalking without giving up Steamboots (Valkyrie) and on minion controllers (Ophelia), but the problem is that instead of getting an okayish item, you can get actual GOOD items. Sol's Bulwark is way too good to not be an early pickup on Ophelia.
Nase
Rampage IS god tier. he's situational. excellent stomper, can wreak havoc in heavily gank based strats, good anticarry, but ultimately, quite counterable through careful play and picks. still my fav hero atm. best thing to play while stoned. Tensei
The big balance patch is finally here.
