Tensei Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Currently topping the bandcamp charts. Strife! is a short album/EP of original songs I made for the webcomic Homestuck, containing a bunch of songs done in a style that pays homage to various videogame/RPG battle soundtracks. It's worth checking out even if you don't read the comic, and is more or less reminiscent of my ocremixes, if a bit more polished than those. Enjoy! Edit: Oh, and it has melody guitar-soloing on track 5. Quote
Bleck Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 I checked Homestuck and thought oh hey, a new album. ...by Tensei?! :0 Quote
Dhsu Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 How many friggin' Homestuck albums are there. Friggin' nerds. Quote
Chickenwarlord Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 As an avid follower of Homestuck, I found myself pleasantly surprised that I now knew about 2 of the musicians featured in the albums before they released them. That said, Dance of Thorns and Heir Conditioning are amazing. And was that a 'Castle over the Moon' Reference in Dance of Thorns? The Castlevania influence is more obvious, but I'm curious. Quote
Kidd Cabbage Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Some Embodiment of Scarlet Devil in Heir Conditioner, eh? Quote
K.B. Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Some Embodiment of Scarlet Devil in Heir Conditioner, eh? With knowing punnage to boot. Also hearing some Decisive Battle in Atomic Bonsai. Don't you hate it when all you get are comparisons? Because this is alright. Quote
Tensei Posted February 19, 2011 Author Posted February 19, 2011 's all intentional. Gotta pay homage to my VGM roots after all. Quote

RDX Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Well I guess if you're this good a musician you have a bit of a right to be cocky as all hell (Referring to the music composition whatsit board). Noice. Quote
