DarkeSword Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Got an old version of Chipamp and/or game music player plugins installed? You might have to remove them and reinstall them. Quote
LuketheXjesse Posted March 28, 2011 Author Posted March 28, 2011 Just deleting chiptune plugins didn't do the trick, so I had to delete all of my plugins, and now everything's peachy. Thanks, DS! Quote
Ghetto Lee Lewis Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Look for winamp 2.95. That's what I run on Windows 7. The program sucked ever since AOL took it over. What version are you using anyway? Quote

Late Mistakes Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Can always go winamp lite if you don't want the visual bling, while still getting an updated music/media player. Quote
Late Mistakes Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 If you don't like the visual bling, can always move over to foobar2000. Quote
Gario Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Mine is on a permanent 50% volume that I can't adjust (the volume bar is at 100%). It didn't use to be like that, but I hit a wrong key one day and suddenly it decided that 50% was the way to go. Already deleted my plugins and reinstalled them, uninstalled Winamp and all that jazz and yet it still does the same thing. Any suggestions, while we're on the topic of Winamp? The strangest part about it all is that it DID work at 100% volume for a couple of weeks, then it just... stopped working correctly. Quote
Late Mistakes Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 What is your main windows speaker volume set to? It could have mapped itself to equal that at all times. As you say you uninstalled and removed it all, but did you also make sure to clear registry files and the like when removing it? Probably easiest fix. Would probably need to see screens of the problem and plugins/settings. Quote
prophetik music Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 use revo uninstaller to remove it, and try again. Quote
Late Mistakes Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 I would also say use something like CCleaner. Quote
prophetik music Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 ccleaner doesn't clear out stuff specific to most legit programs - just temp files and other junk. so it'd likely not affect it at all. Quote
Chrisrj Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Pretty boss wallpaper though I never use Winamp actually as I have several music players on my PC already. I used to, but after several pc crashes over the years I ended up just using Windows Media Player, iTunes or Quicktime for music files while still using good ol' Meridian Advance for NSF, SPC, GYM and GBS files. PS Sorry, didn't know this was an old thread, just wanted to comment on the wp Quote
