I never played the game as a kid, but I discovered the song when I was searching YouTube for classic VGM I hadn't heard before... and BOY did I hit the jackpot.

This song is incredibly good. I can hear a ton of different ways in my head to remix it, too... I think Willrock or zircon could do great stuff with it, but OA and Sixto come to mind as well...

Yes, yes and YES. Of all C64 tracks I've heard around here, Monty on the Run tends to stick in my head a lot more than most - surely someone around OCR would give it some love?

Rob Hubbard is the English king of VGM as far as I'm concerned.

The old greats (Hubbard, Follin, Daglish, Tel, Dunn, and many others) are people that need a lot more love on this site.

God, I knew I recognized it - someone mentioned that it was in the castle section of I Wanna Be The Guy. I agree, it is pretty badass.
