Gollgagh Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Uhh, mine is showing a use remaining count sooo... Quote
Mirby Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Huh, when the demo went up it was unlimited. Must've changed that. Quote
Mirby Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 (edited) Though there has been no confirmation of an English release, SE did trademark Curtain Call a few months back, so there's hope. Also just gonna commandeer this thread for the sequel. New characters include Zack Fair and Barret Wallace (FF7), Edge Geraldine (FF4), Rikku (FF10), Paine (FF10-2), Y'shtola (FF14), Benjamin (FFMQ), Ace, Rem, and Machina (FFType-0). Also new songs from games already featured in the original along with songs from FF14, Mystic Quest, Tactics, Advent Children, Crisis Core, Dissidia (and Duodecim), Type-0, and Lightning Returns. Music from Romancing SaGa and Romancing SaGa 3 have been confirmed as DLC. Also an exclusive 3DSXL has been revealed. Edited March 20, 2014 by Mirby Quote
Mirby Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 A rather full sampling of what songs the game has to offer can be found on the official JP site. The Price of Freedom from Crisis Core is an FMS stage ;~; The game comes out in Japan on the 24th, btw. Quote
Modus Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Are they not doing an iPhone version this time? I've been playing the original on my phone a lllllot. Like a lot. Quote
Mirby Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Considering that Curtain Call couples the content originally exclusive to the iOS version with all the content of the 3DS original in addition to adding a lot of new songs, including EMS stages which are absent in the iOS version... Yeah I doubt it. At least not right away. Quote
Dhsu Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 So is this a sequel or more of a "Game of the Year" edition? Quote
Mirby Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Sequel. It isn't just more songs, it's also more modes and features too. Then again, that's also if you consider Duodecim to be a sequel to Dissidia. Cause this is the Duodecim to Theatrhythm's original version. Quote
Dhsu Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 I guess my real question is do I need to bother getting Theatrhythm at this point? Quote
Mirby Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 If this is announced for NA release, which it most likely will be... then no, cause everything Theatrhythm did this does better. This adds button controls so no need to rely on the touch screen, a multiplayer versus mode, actual quests instead of a set of three stages... Quote
The Legendary Zoltan Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 What's the business model? Can I pay for the game and get the whole game or do I have to pay per song? Quote
Mirby Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 It's a 3DS game. You buy the game, you get all 221 songs. There is some DLC planned, but the main 221 songs aren't a part of that. Quote
Mirby Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 I knew it would, but I'm still quite happy. Now to get a more concrete date than just 2014. Quote
