Bundeslang
The People's Remix Competition 235 PRCv10-01 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! Welcome to a brand new season of PRC. First of all, I wish you all the best for next (or when you read this on/after 1 January 2013, this) year, a year with hopefully a lot of good PRC songs and exciting rounds in the PRC contest. After a free round last time, there are two sources selected to remix. Garpocalypse was the winner of the 9th anniversary edition in a very close round. Hoboka was PRC233's winner. Source 1: Super Smash TV (SNES) - Main Theme MIDI Wiki Source 2: Gleylancer (GEN) - Stage 1 MIDI Wiki ThaSauce link: Click here to submit. GOOD LUCK! Because last round was a free round, both the winner of PRC233 (Hoboka) and PRC234 (Garpocalypse) selected a source for this round. As usual, you only have to remix one of these songs, but remixing both in one song is encouraged. Hoboka can take part by remixing Garpocalypses source and Garpocalypse can take part by remixing Hoboka's source. PRC instructions Limitations at ThaSauce require your entry to be 6 MB or less in size. Length for length's sake and MIDI rips are not allowed (only as Bonus Mixes). Entries must be posted in the ThaSauce link by TUESDAY January 8th 2013 at 10:59 am ThaSauce time: check my signature (below) or the ThaSauce page for the exact time left. You may enter as many mixes as you like and work with as many people as you like on each mix. You are free to create a second ThaSauce account for that, it's needed to be able to upload a second remix. You can post it in the thread if that doesn't work. Do not make qualitative comments on an entry until the results of the vote have been posted. Mixers cannot vote for themselves but if they vote they recieve a free first place vote added onto their score. The winner of this round may select the source for PRC236. Doulifee's PRC Archives! Sadorf
That Greylancer song is pretty nice..maybe too nice. I've been super bored lately and that song is catchy, so i'm gonna give this a try and see what happens.
Garpocalypse
That Greylancer song is pretty nice..maybe too nice. Noriyuki Iwadare son. Of Grandia II fame. At least I think he did that track. Regardless it's one of the best pieces to blow stuff up to. With Magfest being this week i might not be able to do anything this PRC but I hope I can hear a few takes on Gr(l)ey Lancer. Happy new year!

Esperado
remix them both together or pick one?
Bundeslang
remix them both together or pick one? You only need to remix one of the sources, but remixing both is allowed as well (and encouraged).
Bundeslang
Time for some statistics. If the remixers gets the following points in a PRC round. The number of people who enter the contest is the number of all entries including bonus mixes and disqualified entries: 20 points for the winner when 1 or 2 people enter. 30 points for the winner, 10 for the #2 if 3 people enter. 40 - 20 - 10 points for #1-#3 if 4 people enter. 50 - 30 - 20 - 10 for #1-#4 when 5 people enter. 60 - 40 - 30 - 20 - 10 for #1-#5 when 6 people enter 70 - 50 - 30 - 20 - 10 for #1-#5 when 7 entries appear. 80 - 50 - 40 - 30 - 20 - 10 for #1-#6 when 8-10 entries appear. 100 - 80 - 60 - 50 - 40 - 30 - 20 - 10 for #1-#8 when 11 or more entries appear. Giving the points to everyone in a collaboration, giving point to the best entry only in the situation when a remixer submits two songs and giving points in the way I announce them in a case of a tie (so when two songs become second they both get a second place and nobody gets third), the top 10 would be as follows: 01: Rexy: 1200 points 02: Sir Nuts: 920 points 03: Bladiator: 880 points 04: OneUp and The Orchicalcon: 850 points 06: Ichitootah and Opk: 570 points 08: V_Gasm: 540 points 09: Less Ashamed Of Selfs: 460 points 10: Chickenwarlord: 440 points So Rexy is still the best remixer of PRC in history. Eino Keskitalo
Yes, definitely seconded! I'll sit out this round, although it takes mental effort with two good source picks - I have ideas for both, but I should also sleep sometime. Esperado
finally finished! thasauce seems to hate me though, so more than likely i will not be able to legitimately enter the contest in time, since either my wifi or my laptop hate the idea of uploading it. it was alot of fun though, good luck to everyone! hopefully i can actually enter next time. :/

Bundeslang
It's results time. Total number of mixes - 2 Total number of votes - 2 Maximum Score - 7. Esperado got one first place point, but still gets the last place wooden spoon with 5 points. And PRC235's winner is OneUp with 6 points. Congratulations OneUp. Garpocalypses double vote destroyed my vote (it was a hard one for me), so you are the winner. You may select the source for PRC236. Send your source to me (with a MID/MP3 file, otherwise send a second source with a MID file) by PM, other options are PM me @ ThaSauce or by e-mailing to bambombim@gmail.com (I prefer a PM @Ocremix). You may select any source from any game, as long as it doesn't have an Overclocked Remix and it hasn't been on PRC before. Check it at the list: http://sites.google.com/site/bambombim/prc http://bambombim.googlepages.com/PRCRemixList.doc (also downloadable via the link above). Send your source as fast as you can, but before this Saturday, 12 janauary 2013. You can find the votes with comments here: http://compo.thasauce.net/votes/index/PRC235
Esperado
good game! @garpocalypse: what do you mean about the panning ? just for reference, so I can mind such things in the future
Garpocalypse
I'll have to listen to it again to give you some better feedback when i get home but I used my headphones(Sennheiser HD 280's) to listen to both mixes and how the instruments lept from side to side bothered me at the beginning. I think I knew what you were going for though. It just lacked some subtley. I'll pm some better details to you. Congrats to Oneup!
OneUp
Yay But yet again I have no idea what source to choose, suggestions are appreciated!
