Alright, everybody, hear this! Do you think remixing Fly in the Freedom and Dry Lagoon from Sonic Adventure 2 would sound good? I'd really like to know if it's ever been done before just in case it doesn't get accepted because someone already did it.

That's not grounds for rejection. There are lots of remixes in similar styles, with similar instrumentation, and of the same source. You won't be rejected for remixing something that's been remixed before.

I'd also like to mention that if you have a "dream idea," don't start with it! Your early remixes are going to suck. Practice on remixes that won't be heartbreaking when you chuck them in the trash. I personally have a bucket of brilliant remix ideas that are all queued up in my brain for when I'm decent enough to get something past the panel.

Hm? Why don't you just write them out partially on project files and archive those, rather than trying to remember them? Or is that what you meant?
