If we have any remixes of this track, I've yet to see them. But seriously, there aren't a lot of memorable Mega Man 5 tracks but this one manages to shine through so I say give Mega Man 5 another chance.

I just love posting things in hopes of getting a response. It's a great way to share my favorite things with the community ^^

Well i submitted the remix back in January.

Still no word from the judges? I have written a message directly to a judge but no answer...*sigh*

Be patient:

You should receive an initial response no later than August, and a final response by May 2016. Assuming that's accurate--according to the [thread=2819]judging status thread[/thread], it's taking about 11 months to make it into the judging process (for non-direct posts/direct rejects).

Here's an old song Reactor Zer0 did, I think over 10 years ago:

Joshua Morse also did something with the source:

Links are only temporary, I remove them if I need space for other stuff. But they will be up for at least a week.

So after more than a year i finally got the word that the judges rejected my Mega Man 5 Dark Man stage remix. They did not think it was good enough.
I uploaded it to my youtube channel. Hopefully some of you might enjoy it :)

They should - and they did: essentially, it wasn't interpretive enough, and the second half was too similar to the first half. In other words, the arrangement could have been more different from the original to illustrate that you tried to inject your own original ideas into the remix as well as those from the original track, and there could have been more variation in the second half to reduce the repetition and show that you made a lot of effort to not simply copy and paste. To be fair, they did note that it sounds good on its own merits, and encouraged expansion and resubmission.
