GSO
The project I'm working on is not an official OCRemix project. I just want to know the logistics of the hosting process for a project similar to FF IX Worlds Apart(file storage mostly). is it paid for? Can I find a free Alternative? Liontamer
We host project albums at no cost to the creators or users. OCR pays for the hosting of all the content. djpretzel
DarkeSword
To clarify, we host our album projects as follows: A ZIP file containing MP3s, album art, notes, etc., hosted on HTTP-based file servers. We host the ZIP file on a number of mirrors to spread around the bandwidth. A torrent package containing FLACs, MP3s, album art, notes, etc. that people can download using a BitTorrent client. OC ReMix hosts is own tracker. We also provide our albums for streaming (not download) on our Soundcloud page. If you're looking to host and distribute an album, you can buy some web space or you can upload the album to some kind of free service. A lot of people use Bandcamp for albums. djpretzel and timaeus222
