BlueMage
The real reason to not install Vista Um, why is that? Sidebars are a bit of a sore point here.
Hellcom
The real reason to not install Vista Um, why is that? Sidebars are a bit of a sore point here. O yeah, the left hand side bar. Wasn't that the cause of the mass banning of unmod or something?
Avatar of Justice
Heh, one of the pro's of being a Linux user, is that I can read people bitching about Windows Vista, and it totally doesn't affect me. Yes, I felt the need to come down from my high Linux castle and laugh at you commoners and your Windows.
Dhsu
Hey, just out of curiosity, how well does Half-Life 2 run on your system?
Hyperion5182
You think this is bad? The EULA is even worse.
Avatar of Justice
Hey, just out of curiosity, how well does Half-Life 2 run on your system? That's what dual-booting is for. Can use Linux for all other media-related things.
Dhsu
Any timetable for open source Blu-ray drivers then?
esperz
I would wait a little bit before dumping $600 on blue-ray players. It can't hurt, you won't be missing much... And you'll end up saving $600.
Avatar of Justice
Any timetable for open source Blu-ray drivers then? Assuming it works as a standard IDE device, it should theoretically already just work at the driver level. As far as video playback goes, I doubt it. The people that author the video programs probably can't afford a Blu-Ray drive to play with right now.
SilverStar
Anyone else shocked by this? http://www.memoryexpress.com/index.php?PageTag=&page=file&memx_menu=EmbedProductDetail.php&DisplayProductID=9361&SID= $700 BD burner. In Canadian funds. While players are still in the ~600-1000 range.
