kamoh Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 stupid keyboardif i win a round, it will be a miracle Speaking of which, I know mew hasn't updated, but the match format is going to be this: Use 2P Match Race. Best 3/5 wins. Agree to a track to start off the series. Loser picks every subsequent track, but do not repeat any tracks. Do not change racers. NOTE: 3/5 may change to 5/9. Quote
Drack Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 When are the matches going to start? Also, anyone know if you can record .zmv during netplay? Quote
kamoh Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 When are the matches going to start? Also, anyone know if you can record .zmv during netplay? I'm sure that you can record the matches, but I've no clue how. Matches should start tomorrow, but it depends on what Mew wants. Quote

Drack Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Are we allowed to pick special cup tracks like Rainbow Road and that one pain in the ass DK one? There are no DK levels in Super Mario Kart - you're probably thinking of Mario Kart 64 For reference, the Special Cup tracks in Super Mario Kart are: Donut Plains 3 Koopa Beach 2 Ghost Valley 3 Vanilla Lake 2 Rainbow Road Quote
kamoh Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 There are no DK levels in Super Mario Kart - you're probably thinking of Mario Kart 64For reference, the Special Cup tracks in Super Mario Kart are: Donut Plains 3 Koopa Beach 2 Ghost Valley 3 Vanilla Lake 2 Rainbow Road Two Questions: 1) Do you WANT to do Special tracks? I'd rather not because they require you to unlock them. 2) Best 3-out-of-5, 4-out-of-7, or 5-out-of-9? Quote
kamoh Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 My fault; I meant Donut Plains 3.They're not hard to unlock, but if you don't want to use them, that's fine. I'm just pretty sure of my skills in Rainbow Road =P 2) 3 of 5 is plenty imo. Yeah 3 out of 5 is good - we'd probably just get a lot of piling on if it was any more. Tiebreaks will probably be a simple system, it's just choosing where to place everything. I figured out a system that replicates the tiebreak from the first tournament, but in a much simpler package - we'll call them points ("race points" this time around), and they'll be either the third or fourth tiebreaker. You earn points with the following match scores: 3-0 win = 5 points 3-1 win = 4 points 3-2 win = 3 points 2-3 loss = 2 points 1-3 loss = 1 point 0-3 loss = 0 points Again, WINS and LOSSES are more important than these points. 1) Most Wins. 2) Most Games Played. (losses) 3) Head to head results. 4) Race Points. Quote

linkspast Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 who do we tell about our wins? Mewtation, I believeOr post it in this thread Yeah thats what I figured. I was just wondering if it changed with the format. Quote
kamoh Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Both players should post the results, instead of just one. And post it in the thread, please - I'm the one with access to the standings sheet and can update it if I have results. Yeah thats what I figured. I was just wondering if it changed with the format. Strati Posted March 8, 2007 Author Posted March 8, 2007 Yeah, post it in the thread this time so I can keep track of standings as well. Quote
